NEW DELHI: Equity indices plunged on Wednesday with the benchmark BSE sensex falling over 200 points as rising coronavirus cases infected markets. Sensex slipped 214 points or 0.55 per cent to close at 38,409; while the broader NSE Nifty tanked 49 points or 0.43 per cent to finish at 11,254.
