The doctor told how to protect the child from diseases in kindergarten

The allowable number of episodes of acute respiratory infections per year for preschool children is eight cases. Oksana Gizinger, Doctor of Biology, Professor of the Medical Institute of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, told about this RT.

The specialist noted that if a child is often sick, this is not a reason not to send him to kindergarten. In such a situation, immunity will adapt already at school.

Giesinger said that there are factors that prevent children from fighting diseases. It can be stressful due to separation from family and home. Often, parents cannot take sick leave for a long time and return their son or daughter to kindergarten when they have not yet recovered. Another error – self-medication, which increases the risk of complications.

If a child has an acute respiratory disease every month, it is necessary to contact the doctors. This will prevent chronic bronchopulmonary disease.

In order for children to develop immunity, parents need to pay special attention to hardening, walking, physical activity, regular wet cleaning in the room, healthy sleep. Also, the child should always be dressed according to the weather so that he does not overheat or get cold.

In addition, nutrition plays an important role. Children should have enough vitamin D – it contains fish.

Earlier, infectious disease specialist Andrey Pozdnyakov said that the flu vaccine should be given annually, since the RNA virus can change very quickly.

Chinese scientists clone polar wolf for the first time

Chinese scientists were the first in the world to clone an arctic wolf, a dog became a surrogate mother, RIA Novosti reports with reference to a statement by the head of SinoGene Mi Jidong.

“The first one was born a hundred days ago the world's cloned arctic wolf. <…> I believe that this is not only the achievement of SinoGene and the Harbin Polar Park, but also our new attempt and breakthrough in the field of protection and breeding of endangered wild animals, — he said.

For the birth of the first cub, somatic cells from the skin of a female wild Arctic wolf named May, brought to the park from Canada in August 2006, were used. The beagle dog carried the puppy. According to Jidong, this procedure is safe for dogs.

The first cub was born on June 10, 2022. In the coming days, the second puppy will be born. Cloned animals are no different from those that were conceived naturally. In particular, they can reproduce, and live as long as ordinary individuals.

It was previously reported that Australian scientists want to revive the extinct marsupial wolf using genome editing technology.

Western pharmaceutical companies may return to Russia

Western pharmaceutical companies may return to the Russian market. In particular, they can resume clinical trials in the Russian Federation. About this at the VII annual forum «Biotechmed» said the executive director of the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Vladimir Shishkov.

The vast majority of foreign pharmaceutical manufacturers did not stop supplying their drugs to Russia. At the same time, clinical trials of new drugs in our country were suspended in March-April 2022. In the future, this could significantly impede the access of patients to new generation drugs.

The patients themselves were interested in participating in clinical trials. For them, in some cases, this was the only way to get expensive therapy for free.

Since conducting clinical trials in the country is a necessary stage for the registration of most drugs, about 300 drugs may not enter the market in Russia in the next 10 years, including those for the fight against incurable diseases. Russian developments in these areas are still rare.

“The need for national research is a key issue for the regulator. Since it is the conduct of national studies that ensures that our doctors are familiar with a foreign drug at an early stage, is responsible for the integration of Russian clinical bases into the global structure,” explained Sergey Glagolev, Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation.

According to Vladimir Shishkov, there are encouraging signs that some companies are trying to return to the topic of clinical trials in Russia.

Head of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko turned to WHO with a request on this matter.

Formerly, Assistant Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Alexei Kuznetsov said that the termination of the supply of vaccines by the American pharmaceutical company MSD will not have a negative impact on vaccination in Russia.

The lawyer told whether Pugacheva can be recognized as a foreign agent at her request

In the law, there is no such basis for inclusion in the list of foreign agents, as a personal desire, which the artist Alla Pugacheva recently expressed. At the same time, they can still include it in the list, Channel Five reports. with reference to lawyer Sergei Zhorin.

He recalled that one of the grounds for inclusion in the list of foreign agents – political activity. At the same time, the Ministry of Justice may consider information published on the social network to be a political appeal, even if the person involved is not related to politics, but, for example, sings songs.

Thus, the lawyer noted, “anyone” can be recognized as a foreign agent in Russia ;. Therefore, it is possible that Pugacheva's wish will come true.

Zhorin added that foreign agents often face a decrease in the number of advertisers, as they are associated with extremism, they are afraid to enter into contracts and transfer money.

Earlier, Pugacheva asked to be added to the list of foreign agents after her husband Maxim Galkin* appeared on this list.

Recall that the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation entered Galkin into the register of individuals-foreign agents on September 16. Showman  stated that he “does not sell his thoughts” and “does not buy someone else's.”

Dodon was kept under house arrest until October 11

The court decided to keep former Moldovan President Igor Dodon under house arrest until October 11, TASS reports.

The prosecutor's office asked the court to extend the arrest.

< p>According to prosecutor Piotr Yarmalyuk, who is in charge of the case, the prosecution believes that Dodon can interfere with investigators when he is free, by making contacts with witnesses and destroying evidence.

The ex-president considers the prosecutor's demand unreasonable. His lawyers insisted on the release of the politician. They will appeal the decision.

Recall that Dodon has been under house arrest since the end of May. He is accused of corruption, illegal enrichment and treason. The politician denies his guilt and believes that the cases against him were initiated for political reasons.

Earlier, Igor Dodon called on the opposition parties to unite and go to joint protests in order to achieve the dissolution of the Moldovan parliament.

In mid-August, the court extended Dodon's house arrest until September 21.

The scientist said when the level of the oceans will rise by a meter

In 80 years, the level of the World Ocean may rise to 80-100 cm compared to the figure of the beginning of the 20th century, Sergey Dobrolyubov, Doctor of Geography, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Dean of the Faculty of Geography of Moscow State University, told RT.

“The level of the World Ocean over the 20th century increased by 18-20 cm. It is predicted that in 80 years this figure will reach 80 cm or a meter. For some places, such an increase is insignificant, but for others — dangerous», — he said.

Cities such as New York, Miami, New Orleans and Hong Kong will be at risk of flooding. Most of Bangladesh, the islands in the Pacific Ocean, and other territories may be under water. The frequency of such dangerous phenomena as typhoons, storm waves, and surges of water in the coastal zone will also increase. In some countries of the world, protective structures are being built, but they are very expensive.

Dobrolyubov specified that in 20-30 years the global temperature will rise by 1.5°C, and the level of the World Ocean — by another 20 cm.

“Due to climate change, for example, in the Mediterranean, Central Asia, southern regions of Russia, there will most likely be a drought, and in the northern regions the climate will become more temperate and suitable for agriculture . There will also be migrations of peoples from one region to another. But humanity will eventually adapt to new conditions anyway, as it used to, — concluded the academician.

Earlier, scientists from the United States, Germany and China found that by the end of the century, the average temperature on Earth could increase by 2.1-3.9 degrees.

How will they be fined for non-compliance with Russian counter-sanctions?

Plot Sanctions against Russia and Russia's retaliatory measures Expert's answer 0 + –

The Ministry of Finance has prepared a bill establishing liability for violators of the counter-sanctions imposed by Russia in&nbsp ; address of unfriendly countries. Control is entrusted to tax inspection and customs, in part of financial transactions — to Bank of Russia. The law will apply to both citizens and  businesses, fines for identified violations of the counter-sanction regime will range from 20% to 40% of the amount of illegal operation. It is expected that the norms of the law will come into force in July 2024 .

“The bill is supposed to introduce administrative responsibility for & nbsp; & ldquo; non-compliance with measures … aimed at & nbsp; ensuring the financial stability of the Russian Federation,” explains senior researcher at the Institute of Control and Surveillance Activities of the RANEPA Galina Balandina, — and it makes sense. If there are rules, then you need to establish responsibility for their non-observance.

But the abundance of normative acts adopted lately on this topic, and the mismatch of terms in them, causes concern.  We have already adopted and are simultaneously operating 7 decrees of the President of this direction and and two more federal laws, on the basis of which such measures are introduced.

And in such a situation, the vagueness of terms and definitions is fraught with either avoiding  punishment, or, conversely, they will be punished for completely legal actions. Therefore, the definition of responsibility is generally logical, but which measures are considered as “measures of influence (counteraction) aimed at” ensuring the financial stability of the Russian Federation “must be determined in a completely precise way.

Well” and Of course, the principle of proportionality of sanctions to the degree of danger of the offense and its consequences must be observed, about which it is still impossible to draw an unambiguous conclusion until it is clear exactly what actions will be punishable in the case of the adoption of these bills.

“Preparing for school” – divorce or benefit? Is it worth it to pay for these classes?

Every year, parents of future first-graders face a dilemma: is it necessary to spend a lot of money and time preparing for school in paid development centers? collected the opinions of experts, teachers and parents .

“If I knew that at school children with different backgrounds would study according to the same program and under equal conditions, I would not have dragged my son from the age of four to different“ preparations ”, — says Maria, mother of the second grader Vanya. — My son read 70 words per minute a year ago, and there were children who could not master even 15. To which the teacher said: “I’m not God, I don’t give out brains.” Brain? And what about brains? We spent a lot of money, I thought — almost a hundred thousand, broke from work, and I dragged my son to classes 3 times a week. All children study the same program. So why did we push so hard?

I'm ready to argue with her Elena, the mother of Vanya's classmate Sasha: “We somehow walked with my son, he was three years old. A woman with Sasha's age was walking towards, we caught up, I heard her say to her child: “This is a pillar, it is reinforced concrete.” I was stunned: my child at this age did not receive such information. Does she need it? And, of course, we rushed to preparatory courses, because I don’t know if it is important for a child to know about a reinforced concrete pillar at the age of three. What if he grows up ignorant? I'm not a teacher. I enrolled my son in a developmental center, they worked out twice a week, drove him through two stops, it was very convenient. As a result, he went to school fully prepared, we were praised, the son wore “asterisks” — those are A's in first grade.

Does kindergarten replace preparatory courses?

Arina Kisel, a practical psychologist, teacher at the International Pedagogical Academy of Preschool Education, is sure that if a child attends a kindergarten, then additional classes in circles to prepare for school are not needed.

According to the expert, it is possible to understand the parents of a future first-grader who consider it their duty to take their child to additional classes. However, Kisel is convinced that this is unnecessary. “Of course, I'm talking about children who attend kindergarten. Modern Kindergarten — this is already the first stage of education and upbringing, where the preparation of children for schooling is carried out in the classroom on the basis of their usual activities: games, drawing, modeling, designing, singing, dancing, conducting experiments, — the expert concludes.

The system of classes is built in such a way that kindergarten graduates acquire all the necessary knowledge and skills. Children learn ideas about the world around them from practical experience, actions with objects, in visual and musical activities, in games, in communication with peers and adults.

Kissel advises to trust your child more and create a positive, festive mood in the family on the eve of the first of September. And the extra effort and taking crash courses can backfire, increasing your child's anxiety.

“Invest in your kids!”

Tatyana Brestel, head of the school preparation studio, primary school teacher, educational psychologist, on the contrary, calls for the preparation of children for school.

The expert names several types of fears that a child experiences before the first grade: raise a hand, answer at the blackboard, make a mistake, meeting new children, condemnation by other children, parting with a favorite toy, loneliness, deuces. It is better if parents help their child prepare for such a crisis. It's like building a bridge between kindergarten and school. There are many development centers for this. In small groups, an experienced teacher will help the child turn all these fears into strength. When he goes to school, he simply won't have them.

“Our graduates study well in lyceums and gymnasiums. They differ from their peers in their erudition, quick thinking, desire to learn, participate in school competitions with high results, we receive gratitude from parents and their children, », — says the expert.

Many parents hoped for the school, but now well-prepared children go to it. Therefore, offensive situations happen: a child after grade 2 does not know how to solve equations, remember the multiplication table. Then teachers or tutors deal with him, figuratively speaking, sending him to first grade. But this could have been avoided.

“There is no need to remember what happened in the last century, everything was taught in schools. Now is the speed age. Now other children are being born, with other speeds and possibilities. They only need to be given tasks, various exercises, intellectual games. They absorb everything. Children pick up the phone and find everything there without the help of an adult. But not everyone can learn to read. They need help with this, — sure teacher. — Therefore, I advise respected parents to take their children to developmental studios from the age of 4.

“MA and EMA”

Nikolay Yagodkin, founder of the Center for Educational Technologies and author of the Encyclopedia of Children's Motivation, also recommends preparing children. However, the specialist says that options are possible: now there are many different ways to prepare. You can use developing courses, or you can do everything yourself.

“It is necessary to focus on the requirements of the particular school in which you enroll your child (the level and requirements of schools are different), — says the expert. — The situation is complicated by the fact that classes in general education schools are overcrowded, the teacher does not have the opportunity to devote enough time to each student and look for an individual approach to him. The bulk of modern children already come prepared: children can read and write, which means that the teacher will focus on them, building his educational process.

The life of a child changes dramatically. Being in a new society among strangers, new requirements and rules… All this already contributes to a stressful state. The child who understands that he cannot do what his classmates can easily feel will feel even worse. Children who are not at all prepared for school fall into the category of lagging behind and experience failure, which in turn greatly demotivates them to learn. It is much more difficult to revive the motivation for learning later.

Attending training courses helps the child quickly adapt to the school system: socialize, get used to the system of lessons/classes, especially for children who do not attend kindergartens, but are at home with their parents. If a child attends a kindergarten, then the problem of socialization is not so acute, and the parent can independently teach the child basic reading and arithmetic skills, if he has free time and desire.

Schools now also have preparatory courses, they are inexpensive and also designed to help children adapt to school.

But if a parent takes responsibility for self-preparation for school, a situation often arises that he does it incorrectly from a methodological point of view. Yes, parents can read, count and write, but this does not mean that they can easily teach this to the baby, because they are not professional teachers. Yagodkin notes that the most common mistake is that parents teach letters to their children, not sounds. This leads to the fact that the child cannot put them into syllables. For example, having learned the letters M (em) and A, the child reads: EMA, instead of MA. And there are many such mistakes. Then the teacher has to retrain the child, and this is much more difficult than teaching the child from scratch.

“We must first develop cognitive activity”

< img src="" height="120" width="100" style="display: block;" />

Olga Serova, psychologist, specialist in preschool education with twenty years of experience, children's writer, member of the Union of Children's and Youth WritersI am also sure that it is necessary to prepare children for school, but there are different methods.

Every parent wants their child to study well. Therefore, he leads the preschooler to preparatory classes. Usually paid. This is done out of good intentions: “By the first grade, he must read, count and write!”, “Then he will say thank you!” etc. But are such actions justified?

Serova is sure that, first of all, it is necessary to develop cognitive activity, communication skills, and independence. It is these competencies that will allow the child to successfully master the position of the student. Ability to read and write — secondarily.

But if studying is not interesting, additional training (development of reading, writing and numeracy skills) will not be effective, but will only aggravate the situation, nullifying the motivation to study at school. The expert is sure that preparatory courses are not a guarantee of good academic performance.

It's another matter if a child is inspired by learning leisure — This means that for him these are his own points of growth. And the best parent help — find such a job. It is important to remember that the leading activity of the senior preschooler — game. There is a lot of creativity, joy and energy in the game that gives children a sense of self-confidence.

There are many ways to prepare a child for school. It is not necessary to spend money on this. Sometimes the time spent with you — more valuable and more effective than popular and advertised developmental activities for preschoolers.

“He looked like a huge snake.” What did the victims of the Kolka glacier manage to see?

20 years ago there was a natural disaster in the Karmadon Gorge of North Ossetia. The Kolka glacier, which fell from the highlands, covered a distance of almost 20 kilometers in seven minutes and filled the valley, burying many buildings, recreation centers under it and killing 125 people, including 42 members of the film crew of the film director Sergey Bodrov Jr.< /strong>

There is no single version of the causes of this largest glacial (that is, ice-related) catastrophe in Russia. Scientists tend to believe that several factors played a fatal role. About the catastrophe on September 20, 2002 and the current state of the ill-fated glacier, spoke with senior researcher at the department of glaciology of the Institute of Geography of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Robert Chernov, who took part in expeditions to the Kolka glacier many times.

< h2>“The speeds there were wild”

— Is it true that the Karmadon catastrophe was a unique event in terms of science? They say scientists have never seen anything like this before.

— Quite right. The descent of the Kolka glacier in 2002 cannot be compared with previously known movements and collapses of glaciers. Such events have never been recorded by glaciologists — neither in their scale nor in their scenario.

Part of the glaciers collapses occur in almost all mountain systems, this is a normal phenomenon. But for the glacier to completely leave its bed, while flying almost two dozen kilometers along the valley in a short period of time — this has never happened before. And this, of course, greatly surprised scientists.

Kolka Glacier a year before the 2002 disaster. Photo: Chernomorets

This scenario is completely different from previous glacier movements that have occurred repeatedly. The previous event was in 1969 and it looked different. This is how shifts usually occur: the glacier, having accumulated mass and reaching a critical value, begins to slowly move forward. Then he advanced almost 5 kilometers and stopped. Yes, it looks scary and makes an impression: the glacier is cracking, crawling, raking everything in front of it like a bulldozer, — but it is crawling, covering tens of meters in a day, and not flying at the speed of an express train.

Kolka's departure in 2002 was different. It was a colossal release of energy. In a matter of minutes, huge masses of ice, water and stones moved from the upper reaches to the lower reaches of the Karmadon Valley. The speeds there were wild, they exceeded 100 kilometers per hour, sometimes reaching up to 200 kilometers. This mass practically flew.

October 2002 Photo: Chernomorets

When we arrived in the valley in 2003, we saw that its slopes had been peeled to a height of 100-150 meters, in many places they were straightened, and even overlaps were visible: moving along the gorge, the glacier was thrown from one slope to another. It turned out to be such a slalom. Only a rocky ridge prevented these masses of ice from advancing further, and they stopped in the valley.

— Has this ice melted now?

— Initial estimates were such that it would melt in 30-35 years. But it played a role that in the Karmadon basin the average annual temperature is positive. The ice settled very quickly, covered with moraine (geological deposits in the form of stones and clay. — Ed.) and at the end in the end, almost all of it melted away.

Now this moraine material remains there in the form of a hilly relief. Somewhere under the thickness of the ice, perhaps there is still.

A section of the gorge covered with stones after the Kolka glacier descended. 2018 Photo: Baidukov

What do eyewitnesses say?

— So, there you can find something that was left after the disaster 20 years ago? For example, the car of the film crew of Sergei Bodrov?

— All this is buried in a multi-meter thickness of moraine material. You need to work as a bulldozer, an excavator, but the question is: for what? To pull out the wreckage of a car? Nothing solid could be left there. With such a scale of the catastrophe, everything that was in the path of this rampart, this ice and stone mudflow, was demolished and mangled.

And then, you should not look for the remains of the Bodrov group at the bottom of the gorge. There are eyewitness accounts who have repeatedly said that the film crew at that moment was not on the road, but was invited to a nearby village for a family celebration. They were seen by those who left there earlier.

I personally talked with an elderly woman who was invited to the same celebration, but did not reach it, because she had sore legs, and she at the moment the descent of the glacier stood on a hillock. I have never met another such person in Karmadon who saw the catastrophe with his own eyes.

Traces of the descent of the glacier on the walls of the gorge. 2018 year. Photo: Baidukov

— What did she say?

— She described what she saw rather figuratively, but I had no doubts about her words. This is how it should have looked.

At the time of the disaster, it was already dusk. The woman said that she heard a rumble and a roar, and then a luminous mass jumped out of the valley and spread out at the foot of the slopes. According to her, the glacier was like a huge snake.

— And what could the people who at that moment were at the bottom of the gorge see and feel?

— It's hard to imagine. The growing rumble in the mountains — is always disturbing. But it was a rumble of a different nature: tens of millions of tons of ice and stones were moving at great speed. I don't think people have time to understand. Since the ground was also shaking, they might have thought it was a massive earthquake. But everything happened quickly, they hardly had time to realize that a glacier was flying at them. Moreover, I repeat, it was already dark.

The bed was completely empty

— What are the reasons for this catastrophe, which has become unique from the point of view of science?

— At first, it was not very clear what pushed Kolka out of its bed, especially since the glacier had not yet gained critical mass. Began to think there was a lot of controversy. Geologists said that this was seismic: the glacier was shaking, landslides were added to this, and it left. True, the rest of the glaciers for some reason remained in their places.

This version prevailed at first. But then the specialists of our institute noticed that there was a lot of water in the highlands. And volcanologists have registered in the basin, where Kolka used to lie, outcrops of volcanic gas. Then they came to the conclusion that the catastrophe was predetermined by volcanism. This version has become the main one. Near Kolka there is a dormant volcano Kazbek, in its bowels there is a magma chamber, quite close to the earth's surface. From it, apparently, periodically comes heat. This temperature is enough for the glacier to start melting from below. Water accumulated under it, it became more and more, and the water reduces the frictional force that keeps the glacier in its inclined bed. In the end, this friction weakened, and he fell down.

I think voids could have formed in the glacier, and it collapsed inward. This led to the movement of the entire mass.

— What does the place where Kolka was before the gathering look like now?

— The glacier is recovering. In the first days after the disaster, it turned out that his bed was completely empty — there was nothing left. This is a fairly spacious basin with steep sides and a flat bottom. And it was empty, the glacier disappeared completely, which also surprised scientists: this had never happened before. Then its rapid filling with ice began, but the process was uneven, slowed down.

Now the glacier has gained about a third of the volume that it had in 2002. It is 2.5 times smaller in area. The thickness has significantly decreased: if earlier it was 80-100 meters, now it is a maximum of 50, and on average — 30-40. And one gets the impression that the glacier is not particularly striving to add in size and volume. In recent years, little has changed: how much ice has accumulated, so much has melted in the summer. The glacier front has stabilized and is only moving forward a little, a few meters a year. There is an accumulation of ice in its rear part due to avalanches and collapses, but this is the norm.

I think Kolka will not recover to its previous volume in the foreseeable future. And, of course, you should not be afraid of its descent in the coming years.

— How are observations made?

— Our expeditions go there twice a year. We fix the state of the glacier, monitor its recovery: we take photographs from certain points and GPS mapping, put sensors in different places to record the temperature.

There is no continuous monitoring of the glacier, but this is not special needs. Now remote methods, satellite imagery are quite enough. It provides information both about the characteristics of the glacier and about the ice masses that accumulate above it.

By the way

Rescue work in Karmadon Gorge continued for more than 1.5 years. The bodies of 19 dead, dozens of body fragments were found. In addition to rescuers, the search was conducted by relatives of the missing, including members of the film crew of Sergey Bodrov. They set up a permanent camp in the gorge. It was hoped that someone managed to hide in the tunnel. Rescuers drilled 20 wells in the thickness of the ice, one of them fell into the tunnel, but it turned out to be filled with water.

The relatives of the victims attracted psychics. As a rule, they said that rescuers were looking in the wrong place, but that was where their help ended.

In May 2004, a decision was made to stop rescue and search operations.

Livesey, Masha and Cheburashka: the heroes of our cartoons have become memes in the West

The hero of the Soviet cartoon “Treasure Island” — Dr. Livesey became a meme back in 2021. Western and Russian Internet users began to come up with jokes with the participation of this character, and in the summer of 2022, the video where Dr. Livesey, together with two more characters, walks to the music, became the most popular.

Another popular  — dark and light Livesey. With it is used to oppose any phenomena or show different sides of ordinary situations.

But not only Dr. Livesey became a meme — Other characters from Soviet and Russian cartoons also went viral.

Cheburashka (Cartoon “Crocodile Gena”, 1969)

Almost immediately after the release of the cartoon “Crocodile Gena” Cheburashka became the hero of jokes. With the advent of the Internet, users began to invent new comic images for the hero, for example, Cheburnator or Cheburashka-Yoda.

Of & nbsp; foreign countries, Cheburashka is most loved in & nbsp; Japan. In 2003, the Japanese made a continuation of the Soviet cartoon, and then created new adventures of Cheburashka. But and in the West, Cheburashka managed to penetrate memes.

Winnie the Pooh (Cartoon "Winnie the Pooh", 1969)

"It looks like it's going to rain", "Piglet, do you have a gun at home?" — these phrases from the Soviet cartoon about Winnie the Pooh were included not only in Russian.

The main cartoon bear is a humorous character in itself: he gets into situations that cannot  bring a smile. Foreigners love our Winnie very much and note that he is much better than Disney. They also quote his jokes and alter the words of the cartoon character to fit their situations.

Masha and The Bear (Animated series «Masha and The Bear», 2009 — 2018)

«Masha and The Bear» — it's a phenomenon in the world of animation. The animated series is watched everywhere: in Europe and Latin America, in Arab countries and Asia. Series “Masha plus porridge” with over 4 billion views on YouTube, it is the only cartoon video on the platform that made it into the top 10 most viewed videos.

This cartoon seems to be made for memes: little girl Masha constantly gets into   funny cases, and the silent bear protects her. Masha's facial expressions, individual frames from the cartoon, and also the bear's reaction to the tricks of his ward turn into a joke.

Why so expensive? I'm sorry! This is my job, these are my prices. Frame from the cartoon “Masha and the Bear” Rate the material

Baku accuses Pelosi of bias after her statement in support of Yerevan

Pelosi said in Yerevan that she condemns Azerbaijan's “attack” on Armenia and insists on a peaceful solution to the conflict. Baku considered her position biased and accused Yerevan of escalating the conflict on the night of September 13

Sagiba Gafarova

Speech by Speaker of the House of Representatives of the US Congress Nancy Pelosi in Yerevan in connection with the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict aroused Baku's regret, Chairman of the Azerbaijani Parliament, Milli Majlis, Sagiba Gafarov said.

“The statement of the speaker of the US House of Representatives reflects a far from objectivity, biased and one-sided approach to what happened. Known throughout her career as a pro-Armenian politician, Nancy Pelosi undoubtedly made the said statement under the influence of Armenian propaganda,— the statement said.

Gafarova added that the speaker made the trip out of “personal interests” on the eve of the congressional elections “to enlist the support of the Armenian lobby.”

The Speaker of the Parliament also stressed that the blame for the escalation of the conflict lies with Armenia, which violated “territorial integrity and sovereignty”; Azerbaijan, which caused damage to the “peace process”. As Gafarova noted, Pelosi's statements also deal “a serious blow to the normalization process.”

The Azerbaijani politician pointed out that over the years that the conflict dragged on, politicians “like Nancy Pelosi” did not make statements in support of Azerbaijan and international law, were silent about “ethnic cleansing”; and “acts of vandalism” from Armenia. According to Gafarova, Pelosi's statement in this case is a “manifestation of double standards.”

Baku reported that as a result of the aggravation of the conflict, 71 soldiers were killed on their part. Yerevan provided data on 135 dead.

Pelosi arrived in Armenia on September 17. She stated that she condemned the attacks by Azerbaijan. The next day, the Speaker of Congress delivered a speech declaring the United States' commitment to security and democracy in Armenia. She noted that her trip was planned before the escalation of the conflict with Azerbaijan, but coincided with these events.

“As the US government has long made clear, there can be no military solution to the conflict. The constant resumption of hostilities will have catastrophic consequences, — Pelosi stressed.

On September 18, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken held talks with Aliyev, during which he welcomed the cessation of hostilities. “He called on President Aliyev to respect the ceasefire, withdraw the armed forces and work to resolve all outstanding issues between Armenia and Azerbaijan through peaceful negotiations,” The State Department said in a statement.

The expert revealed that the Russian Federation is selling the United States after February 24, but Washington carefully hides this

It became known which goods continue to be imported into the United States from Russia, despite the sanctions.

Russian expert Valentin Katasonov, based on information from open sources, analyzed the exchange of goods between Russia and other countries against the backdrop of the sanctions policy of the West.

As “Free Press” writes, while the US and the EU continue to impose new restrictions on Russia, the States themselves, even after February 24, since the start of the NWO in Ukraine, continue to buy wood, metals, uranium, titanium, food and other goods.

Referring to the opinion of foreign observer Drago Bosnich, the analyst exposed the hypocrisy of Washington, which forced Europe to abandon relations with the Russian Federation, but at the same time continues to actively cooperate with the Russian side.

Moreover, the American authorities are trying to hide from the “partners” the import of many goods from Russia. For example, recently the United States began to transport Russian products through Turkey.

This, in particular, was reported by the Yeni Safak newspaper at the end of August, citing sources in Turkish business.

As the expert notes, the analysis of foreign economic relations between the RS and other countries is difficult due to the fact that the Russian Federal Customs Service, as well as other departments, have closed operational statistical information on the country's foreign trade.

However, thanks to information from other countries with which Russia maintains economic relations, Katasonov drew conclusions about the exchange of goods between our country and other states.

So, according to the US Department of Commerce, in the period from January to July 2022, goods from America in the amount of $1.30 billion.

At the same time, imports to the USA and Russia amount to $11.64 billion over the same period.

Thus, supplies from Russia to the USA exceed the purchase from there by 9 times.

Recall that after February 24, Washington imposed trade sanctions against Russia. Particularly tough measures concerned the supply of goods from the United States. Thus, the West sought to bleed the Russian economy by stopping the supply of important goods.

However, many goods will continue to be brought to the United States from Russia – from wood to weapons-grade titanium.

Despite the drop in turnover by about half, deliveries are still on a large scale.

The expert states that not only timber, timber, metals and foodstuffs are brought to the United States from Russia, but also radioactive materials (47 lots, 7.7 thousand tons), and some of these goods may fall under the category “strategically significant“ #8221;.

Also, they still bring to the USA from Russia: “electrodes made of carbon and graphite” (39 lots, 8.4 thousand tons), “ammunition” (47 lots, 3.39 thousand tons), “equipment for oil production” (20 lots, 791.99 tons), “data processing equipment” (11 lots, 446.5 tons), “optical fiber” (8 lots, 388.41 tons), “turbines” (2 lots 45.43 tons) and other goods.

“I believe that at least some of the above groups of goods can and should be classified as “of strategic importance”. The question arises why, after February 24, Moscow continued to supply the country, which declared us a direct enemy”, & # 8211; the expert wonders.

Earlier, TopNews wrote that The Hague wants to ask for the lifting of anti-Russian sanctions.

Last August, it was reported that restrictions could be lifted until 2023.

Red cross in the Urals. City Dumas of Yekaterinburg supported his work

The Commission for Social Protection and Health Care of the Yekaterinburg City Duma visited the regional branch of the Red Cross in a historic building on the street. Krylova, 2 (House of Volunteers). This year the Russian Red Cross turns 155, and the Sverdlovsk branch of the RKK — 145 years.

Today the regional Red Cross — this is 2.5 thousand members, 24 local and 13 youth branches throughout the Sverdlovsk region. Six more new branches will appear in the foreseeable future. In addition, the organization unites more than 1 800 volunteers.

The list of areas of work of the Red Cross in the Middle Urals is very extensive. Among the priority — training in first aid skills (including master classes for schoolchildren and students), programs of social assistance to those in need, organization of patronage services for the care of the elderly and disabled at home, promotion of donation, prevention of HIV and tuberculosis, revival of the traditions of the festival “Days White Flower”, collection of humanitarian aid, the action “Let's get the child to school” and many many others. Volunteers of the Sverdlovsk RSC actively participate in the projects #GoodVelo and #WeTogether.

Chairman of the Sverdlovsk Regional Branch of the Russian Red Cross, Director of the Sverdlovsk Regional Medical College Irina Levina:

— Originally the Red Cross — it is to help citizens in need, to all those who are in difficulty. Today, these traditions are being revived in our Mercy Service. First of all, this is assistance to lonely, limited mobility, chronically ill people, palliative patients. At the same time, these are such forms of work as the popularization of active longevity, the training of specialists in the RKK programs, younger sisters for the care of the elderly, social workers, and nurses. They should be able not only to inspire a person with optimism, but also to encourage him to an active lifestyle!

According to Irina Levina, the meeting with the deputies turned out to be significant in all respects. Once, 145 years ago, it was the representatives of the Yekaterinburg City Duma who provided great assistance to the local branch of the Red Cross. For example, in the building of the Sverdlovsk Regional Medical College, where the House of Volunteers, the Red Cross and a number of other public organizations are located, the Petrovsky Orphanage was once located. It was built at the expense of the merchant Semyon Alekseevich Petrov, who was a vowel (deputy) of the Yekaterinburg City Duma. “I really want the traditions of such interaction in the capital of the Urals to return, because together we can do a lot,” — considers Levin.

The deputies congratulated the representatives of the Red Cross on their anniversary and highly appreciated the work of the Sverdlovsk branch of the RKK. Many questions were asked — both social and historical.

Deputy of the Yekaterinburg City Duma, head of the Commission on Social Protection and Health Konstantin Kiselev:

— Such field meetings are extremely important, we deliberately practice this form of work. When doctors, teachers, social activists, volunteers, students see that the authorities, local self-government are seriously interested in their activities, they feel this support, and this stimulates people to new achievements. And in the future, this assistance may reach the administrative level. The things that we have said today are extremely necessary. The Red Cross in the Urals is doing a great job, we are all impressed. Now our task — to support the organization both from the Ministry of Health and from the local self-government of Yekaterinburg. Especially since both the Duma head and deputies were members of the Red Cross in the capital of the Urals, and they provided real help…

According to Konstantin Kiselev, in the process of communicating with representatives of the Sverdlovsk RRC and volunteers, the deputies received a lot of new and interesting information, a lot of positive emotions, and everyone had a desire to help in some way. Not only in a moral and moral sense, but also to call on philanthropists, to connect some lobbying channels. “We will cooperate more closely with the deputies of the Legislative Assembly, who have already entered the budget process,” — said the people's choice.

Deputy of the Yekaterinburg City Duma Andrey Pirozhkov:

— We have a commission for the allocation of social grants, which includes representatives of the city administration and deputies of the City Duma. I believe that some areas of the work of the regional Red Cross may well participate in the competition for funds, this is an absolutely real story…

Deputies of the City Duma of Yekaterinburg also noted that in March 2022 the governor of the Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvashev< /strong>the first of the heads of regions of the Russian Federation became a member of the Russian Red Cross. This step of his can be considered as a kind of signal to representatives of the regional and city authorities.

The Federal Tax Service, the Federal Customs Service and the Central Bank may begin to fine for violation of Russian counter-sanctions

From July 2023, the Federal Customs Service (FTS), the Federal Tax Service (FTS) and the Central Bank may begin to fine citizens and businesses for violating Russian counter-sanctions against “unfriendly” countries. It is reported by “Kommersant” with reference to the package of amendments to laws published by the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.

An article on measures to ensure financial stability was introduced into the law on counter-sanctions in June 2022. It introduces a special procedure for citizens and businesses to conduct transactions with persons from “unfriendly” countries. According to the Ministry of Finance, the adopted decrees did not establish a mechanism for liability for their non-execution. Currently, there are legislative acts that will oblige to comply with the rules. The Federal Tax Service, the Federal Customs Service and the Central Bank will have to establish the exchange of documents and information. This will allow closed control over the operations of residents.

As noted by the interlocutors of the publication, an increase in control will only complicate the circumvention of the sanctions and restrictions imposed against the Russian Federation, which calls into question the feasibility of innovations. At the same time, the project of the Ministry of Finance has not yet been discussed in the government. Against this background, questions about the need for the project will be studied in the future.

In July, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov announced that the Russian Federation was preparing counter-sanctions in a number of industries.

The case of Black Fedor. How a Ukrainian from Dzhankoy became a Nazi executioner

Plot World History with Andrey Sidorchik

During the years of perestroika, the media wrote with condemnation about the practice of the 1930s, when children disowned their parents, who were declared “enemies of the people.” Pavlik Morozov, previously considered a pioneer hero, was called “a traitor to his father” by the liberal press.

“We renounce him”

“We do not forgive grievous guilt to our “father”, who disgraced the honest name of Fedorenko. We renounce him, do not consider F. Fedorenko our father, our decision is supported by our mother, Praskovya Vasilievna.

The renunciation of the Fedorenko brothers is stylistically reminiscent of the times of the Great Terror. But this letter was published in one of the Soviet newspapers half a century later. And the reasons for such an act were very weighty.

The Great Patriotic War, a native of Dzhankoy Fyodor Fedorenko met “at the age of Christ”. By the age of 33, he managed to make a small farm, get a wife Praskovya and two sons.

“Resurrected” in thirty years

On June 23, after saying goodbye to his relatives, Fedorenko departed for the Red Army. And two months later, Praskovya Fedorenko received a notice that her husband, Fedor Demyanovich, had gone missing in early July 1941.

Millions of Soviet women found themselves in her position during the war years. Praskovya endured all the hardships, put her sons on their feet and continued to believe that one day her beloved Fedenka would return.

And a miracle happened. In the early 1970s, Praskovya Vasilievna received a letter from the United States, written by her missing husband in his own hand. He reported that he was alive and well, he missed him and would like to see you.

And indeed, in 1974 Fedorenko came to his native Dzhankoy. But that meeting did not turn out to be warm. His wife and children could not understand why he had not made himself known before. The father of the family explained that he was afraid to substitute them — they say, organs can be punished for a relative in the USA.

Conversation in the KGB

Fedor generally spoke more about his wonderful life in America, about the flower business, than about what happened to him in the summer of 1941. He answered reluctantly and in monosyllables: he was captured, went through camps, out of fear of punishment he remained in the West.

“Resurrected”; Fedorenko was summoned to the KGB to give explanations about the military events. There he calmly repeated what he had previously told his relatives. And soon departed back to the United States.

In fact, the state security officers knew much more about Fedorenko than he could have imagined. The KGB had records of interrogations of collaborators who encountered Fedorenko in German concentration camps. Where the former Soviet soldier was by no means a prisoner, but a guard.

One of the “herbalists”

Once captured, Fedorenko was sent to the territory of Poland, where he very quickly agreed to cooperate with the Germans. He was included in the recruitment of ethnic Ukrainians who were sent to the special school “Travniki”. The cadets of this Nazi institution from among the prisoners of war were subsequently distinguished by particular cruelty both when working in the “death camps” and when carrying out punitive operations in the occupied territories.

They were nicknamed — “herbalists”. Survivors of the Nazi dungeons recalled this word with horror. And Fedorenko stood out even among the “travnikova” masses of executioners.

He participated in the extermination of Jews from the Warsaw and Lublin ghettos, and in the fall of 1942 Fedorenko was sent as a guard to Treblinka.

Cruel and greedy

The Germans characterized Fedor as a person who carries out any orders with absolute equanimity. Other punishers after reprisals against women and children went into hard drinking, but Fedorenko did not suffer any pangs of conscience. On the contrary, he liked to send people to their deaths.

For diligence and diligence, Fedorenko was promoted to chief watchman of the SS, making him the commander of a guard detachment in Treblinka.

Both surviving prisoners and former colleagues spoke about him. From the prisoners, he received the nickname Black Fedor — for cruelty and absolute composure during executions. He even drove children into the gas chamber with a smile on his lips.

Cherny Fyodor colleagues said that he was a very greedy man who did not disdain anything.

From the testimony of collaborator Yakov Savenko: “We were sitting in the car, talking, when he suddenly discovered that he had lost his wallet with money. He began to accuse me of the loss, I was offended and left, like my companions. As it turned out later, one of my colleagues found this wallet, which contained three thousand Polish zlotys. This is a lot of money, and the fact that Fedorenko takes away jewelry from prisoners and then sells them was known to everyone, even in other camps.

Escape to America

The theft of valuables confiscated from prisoners was considered a crime before the Reich, and not only collaborators, but also true Aryans from the workers of the camp administrations paid for it more than once. But Black Fedor got away with everything — either they forgave him for his zeal during executions, or the trickster shared with whomever he needed.

Be that as it may, in 1945 Fedorenko ended up in the American zone of occupation, from where he managed to leave for the United States. There he told a story about captivity and fear of the NKVD, and that was enough to legalize himself.

Materials about the crimes of Cherny Fyodor were collected not only in the USSR, but also in Israel, where he was included in the lists of one of the most cruel executioners of the Holocaust. By the early 1970s, both groups of Nazi hunters confidently identified US citizen Fedorenko with Cherny Fedor.

Strictly by the law

Why wasn't he taken in Dzhankoy? The Soviet authorities, no matter what they said about them, acted within the framework of legal procedures, and they did not have the right to grab a US citizen. Therefore, after Fedorenko, who had gone back to America, materials were sent to him with a request for extradition.

In 1976, through the efforts of both Soviet and foreign hunters for Nazi criminals, the Fedorenko case reached the American court. At the trial, he did not deny his work in Treblinka, but assured that he performed exclusively auxiliary functions. The judge accepted this position, declared Fedorenko a “victim of Nazism”; and let him go in peace.

However, in the USSR they were not going to leave things like that. A new package of evidence of Cherny Fyodor's crimes was collected over several years, after which it was sent to Washington.

“Nazi lives freely in the USSR”

In 1981, the US Supreme Court, having studied new materials, deprived Fedorenko of citizenship and took him into custody.

But the debate about his future fate lasted another three years. Organizations of Ukrainian emigrants in Canada really wanted to get him sent to the Maple Leaf Country. Moreover, the relations between the USSR and the USA heated up again. However, there were enough people in the Ronald Reagan administration who still remembered who the Nazis were and disdained any connection with them. As a result, at the end of 1984, Fedorenko was put on a plane and deported to the USSR.

And then there was an incident — KGB officers brought the Nazi criminal to Dzhankoy, where… they released him. They had no instructions on how to proceed.

As a result, Fedorenko, having settled in a rented apartment, drank away the currency he brought with him from the United States for more than a month. Upon learning of this, the journalists of the Washington Post published a material entitled “Nazi Fedorenko lives freely in the USSR.” The shame was extraordinary, and measures were taken instantly — the Nazi criminal was sent to a pre-trial detention center and began to prepare for his trial at an accelerated pace.

Bullet of Justice

And Fedorenko continued to open up in all its glory. “I don’t need a Jewish lawyer, find another,” — he declared. Just at that moment, the Fedorenko family wrote an open letter, renouncing Fedor Demyanovich. And wasn't this a natural step for them, ordinary Soviet people? Why should the shadow of the crimes of the traitor and the murderer lie on them, who did not stain themselves with anything?

The trial in the Crimean Regional Court started on June 10, 1986. The hall was packed. Then there were still many living witnesses of Nazi atrocities, and for them Cherny Fedor was the living personification of this evil.

But Fedorenko was tried not for images, but for specific crimes. The materials of the investigation and the testimonies left Cherny Fedor with no chance of leniency. The lawyer also asked to save the life of his client, taking into account his advanced age.

In the last word, Fedorenko shed a tear, saying: “I did not want this.” But no one believed in the sincerity of the words of the executioner.

On June 19, 1986, the judge announced the verdict — capital punishment. Fedorenko this time reacted with absolute indifference. Nevertheless, he used all the possibilities of petitions for a review of the sentence and pardon.

In the summer of 1987, a brief message appeared: the sentence against Fedorenko Fedor Demyanovich was carried out.

The Guardian learned about the negotiations in Kyiv on the transfer of frozen assets of the Central Bank

Representatives of Ukraine held a series of meetings with politicians from the EU and the US to convince them to accept a UN resolution on the creation of an international mechanism that would allow the withdrawal of Russia's frozen assets in favor of Kyiv, writes The Guardian

Kyiv is promoting the idea of adopting a resolution at the 77th session of the UN General Assembly (GA) on the creation of an international compensation mechanism, on the basis of which the Ukrainian authorities could appropriate Russian assets frozen by Western countries. This is reported by The Guardian, citing sources.

According to the newspaper, high-ranking representatives of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine discussed this issue in London with the leadership of the British Foreign Office. In addition, similar discussions were held by the Ukrainian side with colleagues in Germany, France and the European Union, as well as with Assistant Secretary of the Treasury Elizabeth Rosenberg.

The Guardian sources note that the UK government did not meet with much enthusiasm for Kyiv's proposal. In London, they fear that in the event of appropriation of the assets of the Central Bank, Moscow may respond in a symmetrical way.

The Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly said that foreign funds from the Bank of Russia, frozen as a result of sanctions, can be used to restore the country. The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine estimated them at $415 billion and asks Western partners to develop a mechanism for the confiscation of this money in favor of Kyiv. According to Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, the West has frozen about $300 billion of the $640 billion in Central Bank reserves abroad.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky previously estimated the cost of restoring the country's infrastructure and economy at $600 billion and called on other states to take patronage over the Ukrainian regions.

Supported the idea of transferring the reserves of the Russian Central Bank to restore Ukraine and the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell. According to him, the EU should consider confiscating the frozen assets, just as the United States confiscated the assets of the Central Bank of Afghanistan, which are planned to be used to compensate victims of terrorism and for humanitarian assistance to the country.

After that, Western countries imposed sanctions against Moscow.

The head of the Central Bank, Elvira Nabiullina, announced on April 19 that the Russian side would challenge the freezing of gold and foreign exchange reserves and was already preparing lawsuits. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov accused Western countries of actually stealing Russia's gold and foreign exchange reserves. “When, after the start of a special military operation in Ukraine, our Western “friends” stole from us more than $ 300 billion, in fact they stole what they paid themselves for gas. In other words, they have been using our gas for free all these years, — the minister emphasized.

The government discussed possible scenarios for increasing sanctions pressure from Western countries, Vedomosti reports. with reference to materials for the meeting, which took place on August 30 under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The list of sanctions risks identified by government members includes:

  • restrictions on international mobility Russians,
  • expanding the list of unfriendly countries,
  • strengthening secondary sanctions,
  • additional restrictions on energy exports,
  • expanding the list of sanctioned companies and companies banned from supply of goods and technologies.

One of the newspaper's sources explained that the limitation of international mobility means not so much tourism as difficulties for business, science, education, humanitarian exchanges.

The second risk— expansion of the list of unfriendly countries— may involve attempts by Western countries to involve one of the largest Asian partners, as well as members of the EAEU, in the imposition of sanctions, the source said.

As for the introduction of additional restrictions on energy exports, the government expects that this may reduce budget revenues and have an impact on a greater number of Russian industries.

A representative of the Ministry of Economic Development told Vedomosti that the risks were formed as a result of discussions with industry departments. He confirmed that the government meeting took into account both existing and “not yet realized risks associated with sanctions.”

One of the newspaper's sources explained that the risks are assessed in advance in order to quickly respond to them and minimize the negative impact. According to him, the new socio-economic strategy of the government, among other things, involves the implementation of quick projects. This, for example, should help to quickly replace certain goods or components if there is a risk of shortage.

According to the interlocutor of Vedomosti, the most severe sanctions have already been introduced, so no fundamental changes are expected from the announcement of new ones. Valery Vaysberg agrees that increasing restrictions on Russia is the main scenario. He suggested that it could become tangible in the first quarter of next year, after the consequences of the oil embargo are understood, as well as after Europe passes the heating season.

In his opinion, the effect of sanctions will depend on whether they are directed restrictions on curbing imports or reducing exports. Bloomberg Economics Chief Economist Alexander Isakov, in turn, believes that the effect will be influenced by the degree of sensitivity of industries: those focused on the domestic market, such as retail, will go through this period with fewer losses, but export sectors may suffer more.
