The State Duma proposed to appoint Delimkhanov as deputy chairman for security

Adam Delimkhanov was proposed to be appointed first deputy chairman of the Duma Committee on Security. He takes part in a special operation in Ukraine. In February, the deputy declared a “blood feud” against the family members of the ex-judge Saidi Yangulbaev .jpg” alt=”The State Duma proposed appointing Delimkhanov as deputy chairman for security” />

Adam Delimkhanov

Deputy of the State Duma from Chechnya Adam Delimkhanov was proposed to be appointed first deputy chairman of the security committee, according to the text of the draft resolution published on the website the lower house of parliament.

The document will be considered at a meeting of the State Duma on June 7, it has already passed legal examination and reviewed by the commission.

“Elect Deputy of the State Duma Delimkhanov Adam Sultanovich as First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption”, — said in the draft resolution.

The Security Committee is headed by Vasily Piskarev, his first deputies are now Rakhim Azimov, Yuri Afonin, Andrey Lugovoy and Mikhail Starshinov. Delimkhanov is 52 years old, he has been among the parliamentarians since 2007, a member of the United Russia faction.

At the end of April, Delimkhanov was awarded the title of Hero of Russia by presidential decree with the wording “for courage and heroism” shown during a special operation in Ukraine.

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that Delimkhanov “did not sit on the sidelines”; and went to the zone of special operation. Kadyrov said that Delimkhanov commanded Chechen units in the Mariupol region and led the “assault operation” to establish control over the Azovstal plant. The head of Chechnya also published footage of Delimkhanov's communication with a group of “volunteers from Chechnya”.

Read on RBC Pro Pro Let's break through: three keys to success in strategic planning Russians assortment Instructions Pro Meditation changes the brain. Is it so Research Pro How the exit of the company from Russia affected McDonald's shares Articles Pro How the conflict in Ukraine made investors forget about ESG and ecology Articles

In early February, Delimkhanov made a harsh statement against the former judge of the Supreme Court of Chechnya, Saidi Yangulbaev, with threats to members of his family. The Chechen authorities claim that the Yangulbaev family was involved in organizing an attack on a former security official from Chechnya that took place in Turkey. Kadyrov noted that if they resisted, they should be “destroyed”; as accomplices of terrorists. At the end of January, armed men in civilian clothes broke into Saidi Yangulbaev's apartment and took his wife Zarema Musaeva to Grozny. Kadyrov later confirmed that she was taken away by Chechen security forces, and that the Yangulbaev family “is waiting for a place either in prison or underground.”

Deputy Delimkhanov commented on the claims against the Yangulbaev family as follows: “Not knowing peace day or night, our bodies, souls, property, offspring” After you. Ripping off your heads, working on you, killing you. We have a real enmity, a blood feud. I say this also for those who will translate into Russian. We have enmity in all directions. We have enmity, war, blood feud. And our offspring too. (literal BBC translation). The Kremlin refused to evaluate the words of the deputy.

Another State Duma deputy from Chechnya, Shamsail Saraliyev, called for treating Delimkhanov's words as a metaphor. “For example, when we are very angry and say in Russian to some scoundrel: “I’ll tear your head off for this,” — then such an expression does not mean at all that we really intend to tear off the scoundrel's head, — he commented to RBC. He insisted that this phrase is close to the Russian phrase “and heads will roll”, and therefore cannot be considered a direct threat.

Where can I complain about spam calls and SMS advertising?

A service for filing complaints about telephone spam has been launched in Russia. This was reported by the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS).

“Using a special form, a subscriber can leave a complaint about voice or SMS advertising received without his consent, and promptly receive a response from his operator”, – said in the department's Telegram channel.

How to report spam?

To complain about spam advertising, you need to fill out an online form on the websites of FAS Russia and three telecom operators – MTS, Tele2,  Megaphone.

In the application, you must specify:

  • last name, first name, patronymic;
  • phone number under the agreement with the operator;
  • date of receipt of SMS or voice advertisement;
  • text of the advertisement or its screenshot;
  • the number or name from which the spam was received.

You will also need to select a convenient method for feedback with the operator. MTS and Tele2 — this is sms and e-mail (optional).  Megafon asks you to specify both options in the application.

The Federal Antimonopoly Service emphasized that ""in the near future the service will start working on the websites of other operators".

How soon will the operator block spam?

The operator will consider the application within three days. If the call is indeed identified as unauthorized, the operator will block the number.

“Unwanted ads are expected to be blocked within 72 hours,” noted in the department.

Can an operator block a regular number by mistake?

Telecom operators believe that blocking a number that is not related to spam advertising (even if it has received a complaint) is impossible, since the number is checked by several parameters, including the spam database and the number of complaints about this number received from other subscribers.

"The system, which works on the basis of big data, carefully analyzes all complaints and call sources and blocks only unreliable numbers," said Sergei Khrenov, Director of Fraud and Loss of Revenue Prevention at Megafon, in an interview. ;Rossiyskaya Gazeta».

Tele2 and MTS also confirmed the media that the risk of erroneous blocking is minimal. Moreover, Tele2 clarified that within the framework of contractual relations there is an exchange of information between operators about complaints and problems related to unauthorized calls to customers.

What kind of dictionary for the replacement of anglicisms was created in the Crimea?

Crimean authorities have developed a dictionary to replace words borrowed from English. It was called “Speak Russian”. This was reported to RIA Novosti by the head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov.

 The dictionary will be handed out to the participants of the international festival of Russian, Slavic culture in Crimea «The Great Russian Word» (takes place in the Crimea from June 6 to 12), Konstantinov said on the air of the TV channel "Crimea-24".

 "We have prepared very nice, with a certain sense of humor dictionaries, booklets, we will distribute to each participant, in which it will be written that <…> mean [loanwords] in the Russian version. These [borrowed from foreign languages] words forgot <…> and start speaking Russian. The Russian language has these words, why parasitize with other people's words, – said the head of the Crimean parliament (quote from TASS).

What words got into the “Speak Russian” dictionary?

The dictionary includes over 100 Russian analogues of popular anglicisms. Among them are the following:

·        upgrade – update, improvement;

·        battle – competition, competition;

·        google – search for information on the Internet;

·        troubles – problems;

·        hype – hype, hype;

·        chillout – recreation area;

 At the beginning of the dictionary, the authors placed a satirical poem replete with borrowed words:

– And today we have a workshop.

And you?

– Agritating our coach is on us.

For freelancing.

The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine refused to consider the “temporary loss of territories” a tragedy

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexey Danilov said that the country is ready for a long-term resistance against Russia. At the same time, he noted Moscow's superiority in armament

The temporary loss of territories is not a tragedy, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov said in an interview with the Financial Times. “The tragedy will be the loss of the country”, — he continued.

Danilov noted that Kyiv was ready for a long-term resistance against Russian forces, but acknowledged that the enemy advance had made the success of the Ukrainian army “very, very difficult.” Commenting on the situation in the Donbass, he noted the advantage of Russian troops in artillery. “Unfortunately, we cannot answer at the proper level, because we currently lack the types of weapons that we urgently need,” — Danilov said, adding that soon the West would “definitely hand over” necessary weapons.

He expressed confidence that Kyiv would soon regain control of the lost territories.

Among the goals of the operation, the Russian authorities list the demilitarization of Ukraine, its cleansing from “pro-Nazi-minded people,” and “deliverance of people from the genocide of the Kyiv regime.” There is no talk of the occupation of Ukrainian territories, Moscow has repeatedly noted.

In April, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the start of the second phase of the operation, during which the military is going to completely take control of the Donbass and the southern part of Ukraine. The Russian Armed Forces already control a number of territories, including the Kherson region and part of the Zaporozhye region. The pro-Russian authorities appointed there declared their desire to become part of Russia in the future. The Kremlin emphasizes that such issues should be resolved by local residents. The leadership of the DPR and LPR also spoke about the possibility of becoming part of Russia.

After the start of the special operation, Ukraine introduced martial law and severed diplomatic relations with Russia.

The Security Council called the collapse of the CIS long-term goal of the West

In the future, the United States wants to destroy the CIS and organize “opposing states” in the post-Soviet space, Nurgaliyev said

Rashid Nurgaliyev

The West is spending huge amounts of money on undermining the situation in the countries of the former USSR, and its ultimate goal— destroy the CIS, said in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta; Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Rashid Nurgaliyev.

“The collapse of the CIS, the CSTO, the EAEU and the organization of opposing states in the post-Soviet space, turned like Ukraine into puppet and colonial countries, is Washington's long-term goal”,— he said.

According to Nurgaliev, “dozens of methods” are used to undermine the situation in the countries of the post-Soviet space, for the implementation of which the West spends “colossal funds”. One of these methods— it is support for non-governmental organizations whose work is aimed at “weakening the economic, cultural and economic interaction of the CIS countries,” he said.

The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) includes Russia and Belarus, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. In 2009, Georgia withdrew from the CIS, and in 2019, Ukraine left its statutory bodies. However, it is still formally a member of some agreements within the framework of the Commonwealth.

It was proposed in May to discuss the positive and negative aspects of membership in the CIS in the Parliament of Moldova. According to the Speaker of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, this issue should be raised after the completion of the Russian special operation in Ukraine.

Commenting on this proposal, Moldovan President Maia Sandu said that the country should remain in the CIS as long as it meets its interests and allows it to receive benefits. “Now there are problems in relations with Russia. But there are other countries with which we have commercial relations. We need to be pragmatic,— she noted.

Croatian PM urges Serbia to ‘not sit on two chairs’ over Russia

The current conditions will force Serbia to decide which side it is on, Plenkovich said, commenting on the situation with the refusal of the Balkan countries to let Lavrov's plane through. Vučić promised to resist sanctions against Russia as long as possible

Andrei Plenkovic

The Serbian authorities should be careful and decide who they are with in the current conditions, if the republic intends to get into the European Union, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said at a press conference, N1 TV channel reports.

This is how Plenkovic reacted to the request journalists to comment on the cancellation of the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to Serbia— his plane the day before refused to let North Macedonia, Bulgaria and Montenegro through their airspace.

“This has nothing to do with us, this is a question between Russia and Serbia. Serbia needs to be very careful [and decide] which side it chooses and supports if it has ambitions to join the EU,— Plenkovic replied.— Now is not the time to sit on two chairs.

On June 5, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova announced the ban on the overflight of Lavrov's plane. She explained: “The Russian delegation was supposed to arrive in Belgrade for negotiations. Countries— EU and NATO members closed their airspace, closed another channel of communication. Lavrov called the incident unthinkable and expressed the opinion that Serbia was deprived of the right to conduct an independent foreign policy towards Russia.

The Russian minister was supposed to visit Belgrade on June 6-7, during the visit he planned to meet with President Aleksandar Vucic, Foreign Minister Nikola Selakovic, Chairman of the National Assembly (Parliament) Ivica Dacic and Patriarch Porfiry of Serbia. Serbian Prime Minister Anna Brnabic noted that the organization of Lavrov's visit turned out to be a difficult task, even the President of Serbia was busy with it.

The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry confirmed the decision to deny Lavrov's plane overflight, explaining this measure with the sanctions imposed against the minister. European sanctions against the diplomat were introduced at the end of February. Zakharova assured that the head of the Foreign Ministry did not have accounts “anywhere abroad”.

Vučić made a statement in mid-May that Serbia intends to resist the imposition of sanctions against Russia “for as long as it can.” He indicated that Belgrade was facing consequences for its position, in particular the lack of access to the capital market and difficulties in servicing loans. “Everyone will say, 'Vučić announces sanctions.' No. We will resist,— he stressed.

The Serbian president assured that the country does not adhere to either a Russophobic course or a pro-Western one, although it is surrounded by NATO states: «Serbia— like a small island. Some call it a problem. What is the problem if you believe in your people, in the heroic genes of your citizens, and that we are able to defend our land and want to have the right to defend our borders, our country, have our own military and defend our sky.

Peskov appreciated the possibility of agreements on Ukrainian grain

According to Putin's press secretary, the decision on food security will be made following the talks between the ministers of Turkey and Russia

The decision on the possible consolidation at the level of the leaders of Russia and Turkey, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, of an agreement on security guarantees when exporting stocks grains from Ukraine will be accepted after negotiations between the foreign ministers of the two countries, said the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov. Peskov said, commenting on the words of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, that the final point on this issue “still has to be made by the leaders.”

The Turkish Anadolu agency reported that Russia, Ukraine and Turkey, with the assistance of the UN, have developed a “road map” that will allow about 20 million tons of grain and sunflower seeds to be exported from the republic and put on the international market. The parties and specialists of international organizations should discuss the details of this operation in Turkey.

In early May, the UN estimated the volume of grain accumulated in the ports of Ukraine at 4.5 million tons. In mid-May, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken stated that about 20 million tons of grain remained unused on Ukrainian territory.

The UN believes that the blockade of Ukrainian ports by Russian forces prevents the export of grain. The US argued that such actions exacerbate the global food crisis. Against this background, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres proposed to ease restrictions on the export of Russian and Belarusian potash fertilizers in exchange for the passage of ships with grain.

Moscow responded by saying that “illegal actions” led to the blockade of grain supplies West. Russian officials also noted that the waters of Ukrainian ports are mined and the passage of ships through them is dangerous. Putin stated that Russia is ready to contribute to overcoming the food crisis if politically motivated sanctions are lifted from it. He stressed that the country is “unreasonably accused of problems with the supply of agricultural products to world markets.”

Nebenzya left the hall of the UN Security Council after the accusations of the head of the European Council

The head of the European Council accused Russia of obstructing the export of grain from Ukraine. Nebenzya left the meeting room in response. The Deputy Permanent Representative said about the “degradation of the European Union and its leaders” “Nebenzya left the hall of the UN Security Council after the accusations of the head of the European Council” />

Vasily Nebenzya

Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN Vasily Nebenzya left the meeting room after the accusations of European Council President Charles Michel of provoking a food crisis by Moscow. Deputy Representative Dmitry Polyansky announced this on Telegram.

“Michel also, contrary to the facts, accused us of provoking a food crisis. He spoke so loosely and rudely that the permanent representative of Russia left the hall. It is simply amazing to what extent the European Union and its leaders have degraded,— the diplomat wrote.

Polyansky added that representatives of Ukraine and Western countries voice accusations against Russia that remain without evidence. The key topic of this meeting of the UN Security Council was “sex violence,” he said. The diplomat pointed out: “The maximum degree of proof <…>— “Russian soldiers rape women everywhere.” And that's all. It's so obvious that you don't need to prove anything. Not a single example has been given.

“We would like to once again categorically refute any accusations of sexual violence against Russian servicemen. We resolutely reject this lie,»,— claimed Nebenzya during the speech.

During his speech, Michel stated that the Russian authorities are using food supplies as a “stealth missile” against developing countries, which leads to higher food prices, increased poverty and destabilization of the regions. “Russia bears full responsibility for this food crisis. Russia is alone. Despite the Kremlin’s campaign of lies and disinformation,— warned the head of the European Council.

Michel said that he personally saw earlier in Odessa “millions of tons of grain and wheat stuck in containers and on ships.” because of Russian ships in the Black Sea. According to him, Russian tanks, mines and bombs interfere with sowing fields and harvesting. Michel called cowardice Moscow's accusations against other parties in the organization of this crisis.

He pointed out that Ukrainian farmers are harvesting in helmets and body armor.

In early June, the Italian Foreign Ministry announced 30 million tons of grain accumulated in Ukraine. Minister Luigi Di Maio noted that this threatens to create new conflicts in Africa and political instability. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz spoke of the risk of starvation in several countries, which could kill people.

Russian authorities insist that “illegal actions” led to the blockade of Ukrainian grain supplies; Western countries, and not the Russian side, meaning the sanctions imposed against Russia and Belarus. The representative of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, noted that the waters of Ukrainian ports are “heavily mined.” President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow was ready to make “its significant contribution” to to address the threat of the crisis through food exports if sanctions are lifted from the country.

According to Zelensky, more than 2.5 thousand Ukrainian soldiers left Azovstal. Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that 2,439 people had surrendered confirmed the surrender of 2.5 thousand soldiers from Azovstal” />

Surrendered soldiers of the Ukrainian army from the territory of the plant “Azovstal”

More than 2,500 Ukrainian soldiers from the Azovstal plant are in captivity, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky told journalists.

According to him, the issue of the exchange of prisoners is handled by the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) . His first task was to get the Ukrainian military out of the plant alive, and the GUR fulfilled it, the president said.

“There is a second part for today: to bring them home alive. <…> I personally trust them. We are waiting for their results. But we can't ask them every day: “Well, what's there?” said Zelensky (quote from Interfax-Ukraine).

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced the complete “liberation” of Mariupol on May 20, a little less than three months after the start of the special operation. Until that time, the Azovstal metallurgical plant remained the main center of resistance in the city, where, in addition to the Ukrainian military, there were civilians, the wounded and members of the Azov battalion.

Initially, they wanted to take the plant by storm, but on April 21, President Vladimir Putin said that the Russian military “does not need to climb into these catacombs,” and ordered the industrial zone to be blocked. After that, with the mediation of the UN, negotiations on the evacuation of civilians and the military intensified. In early May, civilians were first taken out of the plant, then the wounded were evacuated, and later the military began to surrender.

May 20 Azovstal passed under the complete control of Russian forces. According to the Ministry of Defense, 2,439 fighters of the Azov regiment surrendered. (its symbols are recognized as extremist in Russia and banned) and the Ukrainian military.

Zelensky called anti-ship systems a guarantee of opening ports

Kyiv is working on obtaining anti-ship systems, and this is not about threats, but about port security guarantees, Zelensky said. In the Russian Foreign Ministry, Kyiv, which is asking for new weapons, was previously accused of “direct provocation”

Ukraine is not ready to export grain through Belarus, the best guarantees for unblocking ports will be the supply of anti-ship weapons to Kyiv, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told reporters.

He was asked what guarantees Kyiv considers acceptable in order to clear the ports for the export of grain.

“Weapons that we can deploy in the region. We are working on this and will get anti-ship systems. These are not threats. These will be the best guarantees, & mdash; answered Zelensky (quote from “Suspilna”).

At the end of May, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia, regarding the unblocking of Ukrainian ports, “has long guaranteed” everything that depends on it. According to him, if Kyiv clears these ports of mines, then on the high seas, the Russian fleet will ensure the unhindered passage of ships with food to the Mediterranean Sea and further to their destinations. Speaking of Ukraine's requests for arms supplies, the minister noted that the country had crossed “all the limits of decency”; and arranges “a direct provocation aimed at drawing the West into hostilities.”

Tomorrow, June 7, the Russian delegation will head to Turkey to hold talks on organizing the process of exporting grain from Ukrainian ports. According to Anadolu, the meeting will discuss the “road map” that Russia, Ukraine and Turkey have developed with the assistance of the UN. This map includes route, insurance and security issues for grain ships, including port clearance.

Another possible option for the export of grain— through Belarus. As President Alexander Lukashenko said, Minsk is ready to organize the supply of Ukrainian grain to the Baltic ports of Germany, Poland, the Baltic countries and Russia, if it is allowed to ship its own goods as well.

Vucic announced requests to cancel Lavrov’s visit to Serbia

A large number of journalists from the West arrived in Serbia, Belgrade was “endlessly” persuaded not to receive Lavrov, Vučić said. He noted that the visits of the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry to Turkey do not cause such a reaction. ” alt=”Vučić announced requests to cancel Lavrov's visit to Serbia” />

Aleksandr Vučić

The Serbian authorities are not surprised that the visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov had to be postponed,— Belgrade was under attack because of the minister's plans to visit the republic, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said in an interview with RTS (Radio and Television of Serbia).

“You cannot understand how many countless negotiations there were, in whom Serbia was asked to cancel the reception of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, — said Vucic.

The Serbian president pointed out that “more Western media has arrived in the country in the last 24 hours than ever before.” According to Vučić, they planned to photograph him with Lavrov in order to use the pictures to attack Belgrade. However, those who have criticized Serbia for wanting to host Lavrov are not doing the same to Turkey, a member of NATO, when the Russian Foreign Minister intends to visit Ankara. Vučić noted that there is no criticism of a number of EU leaders when they meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“You won’t [criticize Turkey], because you can only be so ruthless in relation to such small countries as Serbia,” — Vučić says. He also talked about the “bad feeling” due to the current situation in the world.

Commenting on the call of Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic not to “sit on two chairs” and decide on the side, Vučić noted that the Croatian side makes statements in a mentoring tone, and not in a good neighborly one. “They don't speak— I would like our friends from Serbia to be with us in something. These would be different words, — Vucic said.

Lavrov called the incident unthinkable and expressed the opinion that Serbia had been deprived of the right to conduct an independent foreign policy towards Russia.

The decision to deny access to Lavrov's plane was made due to the sanctions imposed against it, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry explained. The European Union imposed sanctions against the Russian Foreign Minister at the end of February. It was said in Moscow that the head of the Foreign Ministry had no accounts “anywhere abroad”.

The United States doubted the solution of the problem with grain after Lavrov’s visit to Turkey

According to State Department spokesman Ned Price, Washington is interested in solving the problem with grain exports from Ukraine, but does not set specific deadlines for reaching an agreement

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov

The United States will follow behind the trip of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to Turkey, but it is doubtful that this visit alone will help resolve the issue of grain exports from Ukraine. This was stated by US State Department spokesman Ned Price, broadcast by Reuters.

The Turkish Anadolu agency previously reported that Russia, Ukraine and Turkey, with the assistance of the UN, have developed a “road map” that will allow about 20 million tons of grain and sunflower seeds to be exported from the republic and put on the international market. Lavrov will arrive in Turkey on June 7.

“I don’t know if we should have waited for a breakthrough. Of course, we are closely following [Lavrov's] visit and will hold consultations with our Turkish partners after it is over. But one meeting will not solve this issue, — Price stated.

At the same time, according to him, Washington continues to work with the UN, the European Union and Turkey in order to ensure the export of grain from Ukraine, but does not set specific deadlines for reaching an agreement.

Due to military operations in Ukraine, which, like Russia, is one of the largest suppliers of grain to world markets, it has accumulated in large quantities in the Black Sea ports. In early May, the UN estimated the volume of blocked grain at 4.5 million tons. Later, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that about 20 million tons of grain remained unused on Ukrainian territory.

The UN believes that the blockade of Ukrainian ports by Russian forces prevents the export of grain. The US argued that such actions exacerbate the global food crisis. Against this background, UN Secretary General António Guterres proposed to ease restrictions on the export of Russian and Belarusian potash fertilizers in exchange for the passage of ships with grain.

Boris Johnson receives a vote of confidence from the ruling Conservative Party

A faction of the British Conservative Party did not vote in favor of a vote of no confidence in Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Boris Johnson

What prompted the no-confidence question

The vote of members of the Conservative Party faction on the issue of no confidence in Boris Johnson took place on the evening of June 6. The procedure was initiated by more than 50 deputies— party members of the prime minister. As a result of the vote, 211 parliamentarians opposed the presentation of a vote of no confidence in the prime minister, 148 voted “for”.

Doubts on the part of conservatives about Johnson’s ability to continue not only to lead the party, but also to lead the country, gave rise to a scandal that broke out at the end of 2021 related to Johnson’s non-compliance with the proposed measures to combat the spread of coronavirus. The scandal, known as Partygate, began after the British media released information that parties for members of the government and other officials were held at the residences of the prime minister in Whitehall and Downing Street, while the country was under lockdown and such events were prohibited. .

London police are continuing to investigate at least 12 parties that took place between May 2020 and April 2021, including a June 19 birthday celebration for Johnson. Photos leaked to the media showed large gatherings of people and alcohol on tables, which went against current UK lockdown rules and called into question the government's version of the working nature of the meetings. A number of incidents have already been resolved— they violated the rules established at that time. Several officials, including Johnson himself, were required to pay fines. The prime minister was found guilty on one episode, for which he paid a fine, becoming the first prime minister of Great Britain to be held accountable for breaking the law. The size of the fine issued by the police or the office of the prime minister was not called, but according to The Guardian and other British media, it amounted to £50.

In addition to the police investigation, a government investigation was also carried out. On 31 January 2022, Sue Gray, Second Permanent Cabinet Secretary, released the first version of the Downing Street party report. In it, unlike the investigation conducted by the police, it was about 16 incidents. Gray concluded that a number of them were “impossible to justify” against the backdrop of restrictions required from the population, and some “simply should not have taken place.” In the report, Gray denounces the excessive consumption of alcohol by officials. During the investigation, a team led by Gray interviewed about 70 people, reviewed email and messenger data, visit logs and photos leaked to the media. The final version of the report was presented on 25 May. It said that high-ranking officials made mistakes in judgment and showed qualities unworthy of leaders, for which they should be punished.

Johnson publicly apologized twice for attending parties (though he did not attend all events). The first time he did this was before the House of Commons in April, and then— following the presentation of Gray's report on 25 May. On that day, he partially admitted his guilt, but refused to resign. “This does not mean that I do not take responsibility for everything that happened. I bitterly regret this, — Johnson emphasized.

What awaits Johnson and the government

< p>The issue of a vote of no confidence became possible after 54 deputies from the Conservative Party sent letters to Tory official representative Graham Brady, in which they called on the latter to initiate the procedure. To launch it, it is necessary to collect the votes of 15% of the Tory deputies in the House of Commons. There are currently 359 of them, and in order for Johnson to remain in his place, he needs to enlist the support of 180 Conservative MPs (50% plus one vote).

After the vote was announced, the prime minister's office issued an official statement in his support. “We have a chance tonight to end months of speculation and let the government draw the line and move on,” the message says.

Johnson himself sent personal messages to the Conservative MPs asking each for their support. According to the Daily Mail, the British prime minister spent an hour on this. A copy of Johnson's letter has been leaked to the media listing his accomplishments during his time at Downing Street. He mentions the successful fight against the coronavirus pandemic, providing support to Ukraine in the confrontation with Russia, notes “European leadership” Great Britain in this matter, as well as the migration agreement with Rwanda (it allows the expulsion of illegal migrants who arrived in the UK) and promises new successes for the government. According to Johnson, the no-confidence vote— this is the “golden chance” get away from Partygate. “I am absolutely sure that if we can unite in the coming days, then in time we will win again, justify the trust of the 14 million who voted for us, and continue to serve the country we love,” — summed up Johnson.

Almost all members of his cabinet came out in support of the prime minister, including Deputy Johnson, Attorney General Dominic Raab, Defense Secretary Ben Wallace and Foreign Minister Liz Truss. “The Prime Minister has my 100 percent support in today's vote, and I urge colleagues to support him,” she wrote on Twitter. Still, Johnson's outlook for the day was mixed. Daily Mail contributor John Stevens on his Twitter kept count of the deputies who announced that they would support the prime minister. By 15:00 London time (17:00 Moscow time) there were 90 people on his list. However, according to Stevens, this is not a good sign. He recalled that the last time the Tories tried to pass a vote of no confidence in Theresa May was in 2018. Then he kept a similar count, and, unlike Johnson, May could be sure of her victory by lunchtime (as a result, the votes were distributed in her favor with a score of 200 against 117).

The Opinium Sociological Center held in Monday an extraordinary public opinion poll, which gave the following results: 59% of respondents were in favor of a vote of no confidence in Johnson. Among those who support the Conservatives, this figure was 34%.

If the Conservatives managed to pass a vote of no confidence in Johnson, he would leave the post of party leader and prime minister, and the Tories would be required to choose a new prime minister. During the transition period, Johnson would continue to serve as head of government. Now that he managed to survive, he received immunity for a year— during this period, the party will not be able to initiate this procedure again. At the same time, as history shows, British leaders who had to face a vote of no confidence, even if they won, left the post of prime minister after some time.

Vučić accuses EU of stealing $600 million from Serbs over oil embargo

President Vučić: EU “stole $600 million out of pocket” of Serbs with sanctions against Russian oil According to Vučić, Serbian citizens are in for “big problems” when the oil embargo goes into full force. He also accused the EU of stealing $600 million a year from the Serbs due to the consequences of the embargo. 756545450436929.jpg” alt=”Vučić accused the EU of stealing $600 million from the Serbs because of the oil embargo” />

EU sanctions against Russian oil “stolen from pockets” citizens of Serbia $600 million, President of the Republic Aleksandar Vucic said, Blic reports.

“Due to sanctions against Russian oil, $600 million [a year] was stolen from the pockets of Serbian citizens. We are in a difficult position, — he said.

At the same time, according to Vučić, the biggest problems await the citizens of Serbia after December 1— when the grace period ends and the oil embargo against Russia comes into effect.

On May 30, the European Union agreed on the sixth package of sanctions, which implies a partial embargo on Russian oil imports. On June 2, the new restrictions were approved by the ambassadors of the EU countries, at a higher level the document was adopted the next day.

As the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, explained, sea transportation, which accounts for two thirds of Russian exports, fell under the ban. The EU received the rest via oil pipelines, while Poland and Germany decided to refuse any form of Russian oil supplies, so by the end of the year it will only enter the EU through the southern part of the Druzhba pipeline, which accounts for 10% of the total volume of oil purchased the European Union from Russia. The import of oil from Russia to the EU countries will be completely banned six months after the approval of a new package of sanctions, and oil products— in eight.

The issue of the oil embargo has been discussed by the EU countries since mid-April, but so far they have not been able to agree: Hungary, which receives 60% of its oil from Russia, has also opposed it. The Serbian president said in mid-May that the Serbian authorities would adhere to the decision of the National Security Council of the country to refuse to impose sanctions on Russia, as far as possible.

The United States considered the closure of the sky for Lavrov’s plane the sovereign right of the three countries

According to the representative of the US State Department, the decision of Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Montenegro to close the skies for Lavrov's aircraft is sovereign and reflects the “determination of Europe” in confronting “Russian aggression” in Ukraine

US State Department Press Secretary Ned Price

Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Montenegro's decision not to allow the plane carrying Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov through their airspace to Serbia was independent, said US State Department spokesman Ned Price.

“It was a sovereign decision regarding the airspace of these three sovereign countries. It reflects Europe's determination to hold Russia accountable for its unprovoked and unjustified aggression in Ukraine. he said.

Price urged Serbia to focus on achieving its goal of EU accession, including “synchronizing” foreign and defense policy with the rest of Europe.

Lavrov's visit to Serbia was supposed to take place on June 6-7, but on June 5, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Montenegro, Bulgaria and North Macedonia decided not to let the minister's government plane through. The decision to deny access to Lavrov's plane was made due to the sanctions imposed against it, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry explained. The European Union imposed sanctions against the Russian Foreign Minister at the end of February.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that Serbia was not surprised by the position of the Balkan neighbors, as Belgrade “infinitely” persuaded not to accept Lavrov. Earlier, he said that Serbia intends to resist the imposition of sanctions against Russia “for as long as it can.”

Johnson called the vote on a vote of confidence “decisive” for the country

The Conservative Party faction did not vote in favor of a no-confidence motion against Johnson. He will remain British Prime Minister and party leader. Johnson jokingly offered to celebrate the voting results at a party

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson thanked the Conservatives for giving him a vote of confidence and called the result “convincing and decisive” for the country, Reuters reported.

“It means we as a government can move on and focus on what I think is really important for the people,”— Johnson said and clarified that he did not intend to hold early elections after a vote of confidence was passed to him.

He also joked that his party members needed to celebrate this at a party right now (the scandal over Johnson's parties during quarantine was the main reason for raising the question of no confidence— RBC).

The vote of members of the Conservative Party faction on the issue of no confidence in Boris Johnson took place on the evening of June 6th. As a result, 211 parliamentarians opposed the presentation of a vote of no confidence in the prime minister, 148 voted “for”.

Calls for Johnson's removal from power have been circulating since December last year in connection with the scandal over the prime minister's parties during the quarantine. Then The Guardian newspaper published photos of Johnson and his wife surrounded by several civil servants in the garden on Downing Street in May 2020. On the table in front of the politician and the company— wine and cheese. According to the publication, a total of 19 people attended the event. At the time, there were strict anti-COVID restrictions in place in Britain: only two people who did not live together could communicate with each other in person.

Later, The Mirror also published a photo with Johnson during a quiz, which, according to the publication, took place on Downing Street on December 15, 2020. The photograph shows the prime minister sitting at a table next to two colleagues: on the right hand— a man with festive tinsel around his neck, on the left— woman in santa hat. Johnson initially denied that there were parties on Downing Street, but on December 8, speaking in the House of Commons, he promised to check.

Court of Appeal upholds Delivery fine for service fee

The Ninth Arbitration Court of Appeal upheld the decision of the lower court and confirmed the legality of the fine of 10 thousand rubles, which Rospotrebnadzor imposed on the Delivery Club delivery service for charging a service fee from customers, follows from the published decision.

Earlier, Rospotrebnadzor received a complaint from a client about the imposition by the company of additional paid services that cannot be refused. The service fee for various orders ranged from 1 to 14 rubles.

The agency sided with the consumer, as the relevant law prohibits the contractor from performing additional services for a fee without the consent of the client. After that, the Delivery Club issued a fine.

The service refused to pay it and went to court. The company called the service fee a fee for using the application. In March, the Moscow Arbitration Court rejected Delivery's claims and recognized the fine as legal.

In addition, earlier the State Duma, together with Rospotrebnadzor, made recommendations for Russians making purchases in online stores.

“There is a thing in the world that cannot be
I can't understand.
The fewer words a person has,
The louder he will scream.

If a person has what —
He would rather keep silent.
And only the one who has nothing to say
Screams the loudest».

Sukachev brought the first two verses from the song “The Quietest Song”, written in 1978. He also published a photo of himself with a tattoo on his chest “Motherland or Death”.

“I hope this photo answered all the questions,” — The rocker summed up his post.

Recall that after the start of the special operation, Andrei Makarevich left for Israel. From there, he spoke impartially about all Russians who condemn the departure of Alla Pugacheva, Maxim Galkin, Chulpan Khamatova, Zemfira and others.

This year, from May to December, “Time Machine” planned to give 25 concerts. Nine of them, which were supposed to take place in May-June, have been canceled or rescheduled.

The head teacher of a school in Yekaterinburg quit after the “LGBT dance” of students

The head teacher of the Yekaterinburg gymnasium No. 12 resigned after the scandal with the “LGBT dance” performed by school students, RIA Novosti reports.

“To date, the director has decided to leave, the head teacher was fired, she wrote a letter of resignation, — Denis Karakulov, press secretary of the mayor, told the agency.

Earlier, a video from a dance competition at a school appeared on social networks, where tenth graders performed a dance with elements of twerk and cheerleading, and then took off their pink T-shirts, under which there were leather belts.

After that, the Minister of Education and Youth Policy of the Sverdlovsk Region, Yuri Biktuganov, said that the school director was threatened with dismissal. Parents, officials of the mayor's office and the governor of the Sverdlovsk region Evgeny Kuyvashev stood up for the teacher. He said that he would not allow the dismissal of a teacher with many years of experience.

The governor called the dance of the tenth graders a bad joke. The mayor's office of Yekaterinburg assured that schoolchildren staged a parody dance as part of the competition, which does not involve LGBT propaganda.
