Mel Maryns – Someone To Hold Lyrics

[Verse 1]
There was a girl
Broken inside
I felt her pain
I tried to help
No one could see it
She couldn’t tell them
Afraid they’d see her real self

[Pre-Chorus]
She kept drowning
In her own thoughts
Was nobody coming to rescue her?

[Chorus]
She’s all alone
Cold like a stone
It’s a dark night
Will she be alright?
Nowhere to go
No friends or home
She just wants
Someone to hold

[Verse 2]
This is not a phase
I see it in her eyes
It’s not an escape
It’s not a disguise
She’s hiding for so long

Thinking she was wrong
She’s losing her mind
Just please apologise

[Pre-Chorus]
She kept drowning
In her own thoughts
Was nobody coming to rescue her?

[Chorus]
She’s all alone
Cold like a stone
It’s a dark night
Will she be alright?
Nowhere to go
No friends or home
She just wants
Someone to hold

[Bridge]
Where she belongs
Will she ever know?
Just come along
And let her know where to go

[Chorus]
She’s all alone
Cold like a stone
It’s a dark night
Will she be alright?

Restless Road – It Ain’t Easy Lyrics

Move on out, get a job
Pack your stuff and pet the dog
Say goodbye to dad and mom
In the driveway
Sound simple
But it ain’t easy
Ask her name, ask her out
Find something cool to talk about
Front porch kiss, that first date
As you’re leaving
Sound simple
But it ain’t easy
You can find the one
You can fall in love
You can chase that dream and make a million
You can find your faith
You can find your way
You can see God’s truth and keep believing
Sound simple
But it ain’t easy
Save your money, learn to wait
Go out drinking, but not too late

And when your friends beg you to stay
Don’t find a reason
Sound simple
But it ain’t easy
You can find the one
You can fall in love
You can chase that drеam and make a million
You can find your faith
You can find your way
You can see God’s truth and keep believing
Sound simplе
Sound simple
But it ain’t easy
Oh yeah
No it ain’t easy
Learn to strum, this old guitar
Pay the rent from the tip jar
Write a three chord country song
That’s got some feelin’
Sound simple
But it ain’t easy
No it ain’t easy
No it ain’t easy

Hayley Westenra – The Mummer’s Dance Lyrics

Music and Lyrics by Loreena McKennitt

When in the Springtime of the year
When the trees are crowned with leaves
When the ash and oak, and the birch and yew
Are dressed in ribbons fair

When owls call the breathless moon
In the blue veil of the night
The shadows of the trees appear
Amidst the lantern light

Chorus:
We’ve been rambling all the night
And some time of this day
Now returning back again
We bring a garland gay

Who will go down to those shady groves
And summon the shadows there
And tie a ribbon on those sheltering arms
In the springtime of the year

The songs of birds seem to fill the wood
That when the fiddler plays
All their voices can be heard

Long past their woodland days

Chorus:
We’ve been rambling all the night
And some time of this day
Now returning back again
We bring a garland gay

And so they linked their hands and danced
Round in circles and in rows
And so the journey of the night descends
When all the shades are gone

"A garland gay we bring you here
And at your door we stand
It is a sprout well budded out
The work of Our Lord’s hand"

Chorus:
We’ve been rambling all the night
And some time of this day
Now returning back again
We bring a garland gay

Chorus:
We’ve been rambling all the night
And some time of this day
Now returning back again

Procol Harum – Turn Back The Page Lyrics

The night surrounds me
I can’t turn back the hands of time
When I look around me
My thoughts are of the lonely kind
Such a game of high stakes
We gambled and then we lost
We were fools to believe
That we could beat the odds

But the story always ends the same
(you can’t turn back the page)
Trying to relive ev’ry moment as it came
(you can’t turn back the page)
But it always ends the same
You can’t turn back the page

The night surrounds me
I try and get you off my mind
But still… still it hounds me
If I could see you one more time
In a moment of madness

We gambled and the we lost
Now we live in the shadows
And pay the cost

And the story always ends the same
(you can’t turn back the page)
Trying to relive ev’ry moment as it came
(you can’t turn back the page)
But it always ends the same
You can’t turn back the page

The judgement’s been set
The jury retired
The court’s now in recess
The plea’s been denied

And the story always ends the same
(you can’t turn back the page)
Trying to relive ev’ry moment as it came
(you can’t turn back the page)
But it always ends the same
You can’t turn back the page

Lauren Alaina – Candle In The Wind (American Idol Performance) Lyrics

Goodbye Norma Jean
Though I never knew you at all
You had the grace to hold yourself
While those around you crawled

They crawled out of the woodwork
And they whispered into your brain
They set you on the treadmill
And they made you change your name

And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
When the rain set in
And I would have liked to have known you
But I was just a kid
Your candle burned out long before
Your legend ever did

Loneliness was tough
The toughest role you ever played
Hollywood created a superstar
And pain was the price you paid
Even when you died
Oh the press still hounded you
All the papers had to say
Was that Marilyn was found in the nude

And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
When the rain set in
And I would have liked to have known you
But I was just a kid
Your candle burned out long before
Your legend ever did

Goodbye Norma Jean
Though I never knew you at all
You had the grace to hold yourself
While those around you crawled
Goodbye Norma Jean
From the young man in the 22nd row
Who sees you as something more than sexual
More than just our Marilyn Monroe

And it seems to me you lived your life
Like a candle in the wind
Never knowing who to cling to
When the rain set in
And I would have liked to have known you
But I was just a kid
Your candle burned out long before
Your legend ever did

Elaine De Jesus – Tremeu Tudo Lyrics

Android Lust – Intimate Stranger Lyrics

I am the water beneath your steps
I am the fire on your breath
I am the air the giver of life
I am the earth the keeper of hives

I am a soldier a needy hand
I am a seeker of the promised land
An occasional taker
A memory bearer
A tally keeper
The intimate stranger

We are bound we must be found
We are the way to heaven
We live in the dark but we breathe as one
We must come together

I am a digger in questions hide

I seek out answers that fit my doubting mind
A constant thinker
A judgement maker
Unconscious sleeper
The intimate stranger

We are bound we must be found
We are the way to heaven
We’re still in the dark but we breathe as one
We must come together

I am water
I am fire
I am aether
I am your answer
I am the seeker
The righteous soldier
The unbeliever
The intimate stranger

Papoose – Antidote Lyrics (feat. Nigel Hall)

[Verse 1: Papoose]
I got the antidote
Say they sick with it i hear them boast
I be drugging rappers
You never witness the menace though
Wash my hands with soap
Walk in the booth and i clear my throat
Spit a jam i wrote
When i start rapping you hear a quote
Keep the cannon close
Empty the clip in your cantaloupe
Married to my gun
Sorry i'm taking we cantaloupe
When the man is broke
Friends are reluctant to share they won’t
So selfish they see you in a hole
And won't handle [?]
All smoking mirrors
Open the window and clear the smokе
My boss so ugly
Looked in the mirror the mirror brokе
It's a cold world
Better make sure that you wear your coat
Only fear god
Don’t fear the devil don't fear the pope
But messiah spitting fire so hot that you can't approach
Greatest ever raining
Terror i smash 'em [?]
Pap for president
Most of these haters are scared to vote
Too much dick sucking
Listen closely you hear them choke choke choke choke
[Hook: Nigel Hall, Papoose]
Listen close I got something for you
Listen close I got the antidote dote dote dote
I I I got the antidote
Listen close I got something for you
Listen close I got the antidote dote dote dote
I I I got the antidote

[Verse 2: Papoose]
Don't make comparisons
I ain't them amateurs
I take the silencer
Screw it on my favorite ratchet
Brought her blazer challengers
Invasive racist fake
Ambassadors invaded africa
The face of hatred raped and ravaged
Just the way they handled us
The rock ferocious on you cockroaches
Sprayed a canister
Nowadays that ain't my character
I'm of a greater caliber
The mathematics that i’m dropping
Ain’t your algebra
Specialize in mental exercise
And raise my stamina
Statistics say i racist
Savages they rate the averages
Our young men should be raised to attica
That's the analysis
Kids dying birthdays that never made the calendar
This is blatant arrogance
We gotta change the narrative
Babies making babies
Daughters pushing baby carriages
We always loved our babies
Nowadays they ain’t attaching it
Your daughter end up with a dead beating
Straight embarrassment
Shit borrow from the indians
And start arranging marriages
[Hook: Nigel Hall, Papoose]
Listen close I got something for you
Listen close I got the antidote dote dote dote
I I I got the antidote
Listen close I got something for you
Listen close I got the antidote dote dote dote
I I I got the antidote

Jimmie Van Zant – Southern Rock Lyrics

SHE’S LIKES RIDE SHOTGUN WITH THE WIND BLOWIN IN HER HAIR
I LIKE ANY OPEN ROAD AS LONG AS SHE’S WITH ME
SINGING SWEET HOME ALABAMA
GETTING DOWN TO HARD TO HANDLE
TURN IT UP, FREE BIRD SETS US FREE
OH SHE LOVES HER SOUTHERN ROCK
BORN EAST COAST WHERE THINGS GET HOT
DIE HARD COUNTRY DOWN HOME SOUL
LIKE THE MUDDY MISSISSIPPI THAT’S HOW WE’LL ROLL
I THANK GOD FOR WHAT I GOT
A JERSEY GIRL WHO LOVES HER SOUTHEN ROCK
I’S RAISED UP LEANING ON JESUS
NOW I’M SOLID AS A TENNESSEE OAK
AND I’LL BREAK MY BACK BEFORE I BREAK MY WORD
I SPEND MY SUNDAY’S FISHIN IN CHURCH AND
COME MONDAY MORNIN IM OUT THERE WORKIN

AND EVERY SINGLE DAY IM TAKING CARE OF HER
OH SHE LOVES HER SOUTHERN ROCK
BORN EAST COAST WHERE THINGS GET HOT
DIE HARD COUNTRY DOWN HOME SOUL
LIKE THE MUDDY MISSISSIPPI THAT’S HOW WE’LL ROLL
I THANK GOD FOR WHAT I GOT
A JERSEY GIRL WHO LOVES HER SOUTHERN ROCK
STEADY AS A DRUM BEAT, MOVIN HER ALONG
IM THE SOUTHERN COMFORT THAT KEEPS HER HOLDIN ON
OH SHE LOVES HER SOUTHERN ROCK
BORN EAST COAST WHERE THINGS GET HOT
DIE HARD COUNTRY DOWN HOME SOUL
LIKE THE MUDDY MISSISSIPPI THAT’S HOW WE’LL ROLL
I THANK GOD FOR WHAT I GOT
A JERSEY GIRL WHO LOVES HER SOUTHERN ROCK

Christophe – Le Dernier Des Bevilacqua Lyrics

{x2:}

{x2:}
Conduisant ma voiture qui sera
Coupé façon Pininfarina
Je reviendrai peut-être chez moi
Chez les derniers des Bevilacqua

Dans le quartier on chuchotera
“C’est le dernier des Bevilacqua”

{x2:}
Toute l’Italie ne se souvient pas
Des enfants du faubourg d’autrefois
Il ne restera bientôt que moi
Que le dernier des Bevilacqua

Rygin King Gets Backlash For Posting Photo Of His Baby Mama

Rygin King gets some hate mail from some fans after sharing a heartfelt post about one of his baby mamas.

Montego Bay-based dancehall artiste Rygin King has seemingly been caught in some hot mess after he shared a photo of the mother of one of his kids on Instagram, wishing her a happy birthday. He wrote, “Happy birthday to my baby mother wishing you blessings on top of blessing. It’s ur day enjoy it. love from ur baby daddy,” on the now-deleted post.

The move was seen as a hypocritical one by persons who attacked the deejay for supposedly not sharing a similar post about his first baby mother when it was her birthday.

Unfair and disrespectful were just a few of the other terms thrown out at the 25-year-old singjay. The “Tuff” deejay got blasted for allegedly ditching the female who stood behind him as he worked to establish his career some years ago.

A fan defending Rygin King indicated that a post was indeed made for his daughter’s mother. Declaring, “He did post her for her bday. He just doesn’t keep it on his page. This one will be removed too after a while.” A quick review of the entertainer’s Instagram page shows that the most recent post is no longer there. Also, it can be observed that the deejays page is a compilation of his solo shots along with posters and clips from his musical endeavors.

The father of two has never been shy about mentioning his kids. He has done so on numerous tracks, however, felt it special to craft “Hush” for his daughter in 2018.

After recovering from a shooting incident in Ashton, Westmoreland, the artiste counted his blessings since he is now able to see his son and daughter grow up.

As one would imagine, the deejay has remained quite tight-lipped on social media since the tragic incident that took the life of his then-current girlfriend and injured another member of his entourage.

Despite all his challenges, Rygin King has remained focused and is now working on an album.

Wack 100 Doesn’t View Tekashi 6ix9ine As A Snitch, Calls 69 A Civilian

Wack 100 went out on a limb when giving his views about Tekashi69.

Wack 100 does not think rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine is an informer, and he goes on to explain why. During an interview recently with Bootleg Kev, the veteran music executive who is best known for managing The Game and Blueface, spoke about an upcoming track re Meek Mill. During the podcast, he tells Bootleg Kev that he has “mixed feelings” about persons referring to 6ix9ine as a “snitch.”

Wack 100 believes 6ix9ine should have never been in a position where he was let into the inner circle and was privy to certain information about the Nine Trey Gangster Bloods. He even went as far as to say 6ix9ine was a “civilian” and stated that civilians “tell the truth not snitch.”

His comments were similar to those echoed by Akon, who also said last year he believes 6ix9ine only did what he felt he had to do, by telling the truth. Akon went on to collaborate with 6ix9ine on a track that was featured on the “GOOBA” rapper’s sophomore album.

Tekashi 6ix9ine was tried in 2019 as he gave information on his former gang members in order to get a reduced sentence. He was arrested on racketeering, drug trafficking, and weapons charges.

He was granted early release in April 2020. In related news, a three-part docu-series that showcases his life will premiere on Showtime on Sunday. It’s titled “Supervillain: The Making of Tekashi 6ix9ine.” It details the rapper’s life and will feature actual footage of him from his early days up to his trial.

In recent days 6ix9ine and Meek Mills almost came to blows at their last confrontation. Do you agree with Wack 100 that Tekashi is not a snitch?

Pop Smoke’s Mother Shares Her Feelings About His Murder Suspects

Pop Smoke’s mother Audrey Jackson says while she wants the men who killed her son to face the penalty for their actions, she’s still understanding and empathetic towards their families, who have basically lost their sons by virtue of them going to jail.

Last Friday made it a year since Pop Smoke, whose real name is Bashar Barakah Jackson, was killed on the morning of February 19, 2020, at the home he was renting in Hollywood Hills after five men broke in and shot him. He later died at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

With his death also died a promising career for a young man many pinned high hopes on. Pop Smoke was only 20 years old at the time of his death but is credited as being at the forefront of Brooklyn’s exploding drill movement with hits like “Welcome to the Party”, and “Dior.”

Four persons were arrested for Pop Smoke’s killing included two teenagers. They are Corey Walker, 19, and Keandre Rodgers, 18. They face the death penalty for their involvement in the criminal enterprise, which police say has gang ties.

The other two are ages 17 and 15 years old but have not been named because they are adults.

The Rapper’s mother, however, was unable to say whether she is able to forgive the men, although she says she understands the pain that those young men put their family in along with her family.

“For me, it’s neither pace, they’ve done something and there should be repercussion for what they’ve done you know but my brain goes to their households that have been disturbed, mine has been damaged…but their moms and dads too had to have some stuff. It’s not about forgiveness per se but understanding,” she said.

As fans remembered the slain Rapper, others recalled their own theory as to what led to his death. Some fans theorize that Pop Smoke and his friend mistakenly shared his address while posting photos of a pile of cash, luxury goods on the night before he was killed. Stories shared by his friends Mike Dee also showed the Rapper’s address which can be easily found using Google Maps.

Police later said they were investigating whether that fatal mistake could have led to the men breaking into his house and killing him. Thousands of Pop Smoke’s fans saw the photos and stories tagged with location etc. “..it also extends the pool of people that would have known where he was at and could have targeted him for a variety of reasons,” Robbery Homicide Division Captain Jonathan Tippet said.

He also added that police were perplexed by the fact that while the incident appeared as a home invasion, items that might be taken in a robbery were not taken. He said, “so that’s why we’re not really saying that it was a robbery or that he was the intended target.”

Meanwhile, his mom Audrey and his dad Greg Jackson have become gun violence activists as they seek to bring awareness to how gun violence destroys families. In an emotional PSA, she spoke of never getting to see her “Shar” bounding up her steps, dancing with her, or posing in her bedroom mirror and fooling around.

In the meantime, the murder suspects have entered pleas but are awaiting trial. Fans continue to mourn the Rapper and have questions as to why he was killed.

Reggae Singer Chuck Fenda Gets Emotional Discussing Being Abandoned By Mother

Chuck Fenda is opening up about his relationship with his mother.

“Even as a big man like me..when Mother’s Day come across, me neva understand it,” 48-year-old reggae entertainer Chuck Fenda recently expressed while speaking to Simone Clarke-Cooper on Television Jamaica’s morning time show, Smile Jamaica. The onetime hardcore dancehall act turned reggae singer joined the show virtually to discuss his brand new song “Eternal Fire.” The conversation transitioned deep into his past as he spoke on the newfound relationship with his mom.

The singer explained to the host that he was made to live with his grandparents in Spanish Town at just 6 weeks old, and he had not seen his mother since then. Naturally, Chuck Fenda, whose real name is Leshorn Whitehead, was unable to recall any memory of his mom, even though she visited the island on two other occasions since then. He is now planning to stage a physical meet-up with his mom, who now lives in California after they reconnected 3 years ago.

“I’m talking to her, she called the other day to say she wants us to meet up …but the pandemic came along and I didn’t get to fly to California to see her… I’d really love to see her and hug her …” The “I swear,” singer said before breaking down in tears at the thought of his lifelong pursuit finally being achieved.

As documented by The Star, the two had connected via WhatsApp in 2017 with the help of relatives. The entertainer recently explained that he feels his mom was hesitant to get close because of the circumstances under which she got pregnant. She shared the details of how it all went down in a lengthy email, the artiste explained.

“Throughout my conversations with my mother, she tell me what happen. She was really young, and when she went to look for my grandmother at the hospital one day she meet an elderly guy, and had sex the one night and never see him back,” he further explained.

There is no loss of love for the woman who gave him life, he told Simone. Chuck Fenda has previously expressed his love for his mom and mothers of his 11 kids on his tribute track “Mama.”

“I still love her same way…So deep down in my heart I have to forgive her,” he said. To the entertainer, even the faintest bit of contact would have been enough.

“She could at least call and say boy you aright or XYZ but a lot of mothers go through this and a lot of children go through this as well,” he said.

You can check out the complete interview below before tuning into the singer’s most recent track.

DaBaby Breaks Silence On Controversial Jojo Siwa Lyrics

DaBaby is responding to fans bashing him for what they perceive to be a diss to YouTuber Jojo Siwa. He says, “it’s all love,” and that his lyric is not intended to be a diss.

“I love Twitter Bruh. @jojosiwa my 3-year ld princess is your number 1 fan. I bought her every product you have out. She think she you. Don’t let them trick you into thinking id ever have a problem with you,” he said to the YouTuber who is formerly a contestant on the reality show “Dance Moms,” in which she appeared on two seasons with her mom. She is now well known for her songs “Boomerang” and “Kid in a Candy Store.”

DaBaby came under fire on Sunday after fans started saying he and the young entertainer had some type of beef. In his latest song, “Beatbox Freestyle,” a lyric led fans to assume he dissed her.

“Don’t wanna get me started n***As / Turn me up n****as gone see why / Ni**a you a b**ch, Jojo Siwa, (B**ch)”

However, Dababy says his using Jojo’s name is all wordplay and no foul intention. “My word play just went over their heads. All love on my end shawty, Keep shining,” he said.

He also said to a fan, “I don’t ‘Siwa’ they so mad either bae.” In response to a fan as he demonstrated his earlier wordplay point.

DaBaby was initially dragged by other YouTubers who jumped to Jojo’s defense as they dissed the rapper, noting that not only was Jojo taller than him but that she was also 12 years younger and 10X richer than he was.

???? I love Twitter bruh.

Explanation of the DaBaby/JoJo Siwa line.

“Don’t wanna get me started” = general posturing

“Turn me up, you’re gon see why” = attitude ramping up

“You a bitch, JoJo Siwa.” = verbal attack. As in, he, DaBaby, aka Jonathan Kirk, aka JoJo, can see why you are a bitch. pic.twitter.com/yyfOwT8go6

Buju Banton Gifted Children’s Home A Viable Poultry Investment

Buju Banton has made good on his promise to the Sunbeam Children’s Home to build a poultry business to feed and help support the children.

In a statement, Sunbeam Children’s Home Administrator Desmond Whitley says the investment will go a long want to not only financially support the children but also expose them to being responsible as they grow from children into men. The Home houses boys who are wards of the state.

Whitley said in a statement sent to Urban Islandz, “we see this as the most significant contribution by any single individual and its impact on the development of Sunbeam. The approach taken by the Buju Banton Foundation to focus and invest in the longterm development of the wards is the best way to attain sustainable life changing impact; especially, for young men. It is indeed easier to build boys than to mend men. The Foundation’s contribution is building the boys of Sunbeam and to a larger extent the men of Jamaica.”

Buju Banton, in July 2020, announced that his winnings from the Jamaica Song Festival will go towards the Children’s Home. “I want to congratulate the true winners tonight. Everyone who participated in this competition: you’re all winners. I was happy to share the stage with you all. But for me the true winners tonight is the Sunbeam Boys Home. We did it Sunbeam Boys Home, We did it.”

The competition was mired in controversy as less experienced singers took issue with artistes like Buju being shortlisted for the competition despite not auditioning for the competition. However. Buju was unbothered.

The value of the prize given to the Children’s Home is J$3 million and will be used for the construction of a poultry/egg layers project. According to the Children’s Home, it has procured 500 layers that will produce eggs, and the chicken coup has all the required resources. It is aiming for a commercially viable business.

“A marketing officer has been employed, to assist with promotion, sales and product distribution. The income generated, will be directly reinvested into facility, to provide for its residents. They along with staff, will obtain ongoing, theoretical and practical training, in agriculture and management, to ensure the durability of this project,” Rosemary Duncan, Director at Buju Banton Foundation, said.

Buju Banton has undertaken various charitable causes since returning to Jamaica. He said his aim is to help those marginalized and to assist them in achieving their full potential.

The Buju Banton Foundation was started in 2019 and will cater to the development of vulnerable boys in Jamaican society. Among those who have supported Buju’s dream include rapper Kanye West who donated laptops and desktop computers to staff and residents at Sunbeam Children’s Home and Manchester Boy’s Home. The Foundation says Audiomack also recently contributed US$5000 to the cause. The Buju Banton Foundation awarded a full scholarship to Tajay Bailey at Denham Town High School. Food supplies, school stationery, shoes, and skills training workshops among the resources gifted to youths.

Sean Paul has opened up about scoring an historic No. 1 hit in 2006 with “Temperature” and the direction of his new album, “Live And Livin.”

International dancehall artiste Sean Paul joined Claudia Jordon yesterday during Out Loud on FOX Soul, where he spoke with her at length about his musical life over the past year. He also gave his take on a few things that have been happening over the years in the music industry. He further went on to give fans a very intimate look into his personal life and how he has been coping with the pandemic.

Sean Paul revealed that at the beginning of the pandemic that he took a five-month hiatus at home. During this time, he said he spoke with a friend in the music business, and he was telling him, “Bro we can’t listen and talk at the same time,” and he stated, “That was exactly how I felt. I don’t wanna say nothing on record I don’t wanna do nothing I don’t wanna go to anywhere.” Finally, after the five months ended, he decided to head back to the studio but was nervous and hesitant in doing so.

As a result, he came up with two new albums. “I had a couple songs that I was working on from before and I just put all the words together and start to finish everything.”

The legendary singer also touched on the fact that he had asthma and he is more vulnerable to this virus. He also paid homage to Toots Hibbert and Barry O’Hare, two musical giants in their own right who both passed away in 2020.

Jordon asked him how he dealt with isolation and how he continued to make positive music. SP said, “With everything I look at the positive side, so I used to tour about 6 months out of the year which was great I love to tour but I also had less family time at that time.” Sean revealed that the pandemic has allowed him to spend more time with his family, which he may not have been able to do if he was out touring. It also afforded him more studio time to work on his projects. He spoke about his recent “forty great” birthday celebrations, which was just a small gathering of friends and family, of course, following the social distance protocols in place in Jamaica.

When Jordon questioned him about things he has learned with getting older, the good and the bad, he said: “Being a lot wiser of course you know, I’ve been through situations I am able to see them far off now and like Oh I’m not going down that street now at this time in my life. That’s something I think everybody happens to everyone. He went on, “The bad things is you know you play three days of basketball and then these knees start hurting….and also looking at like your phone kinda squinting and like that.”

Sean Paul then spoke about VERZUZ, expressing that it reminds him too much of clashing, and he has seen how violence from various forms of clashes has affected others in the music industry. As such, it’s not something he could see himself doing. Of the VERZUZ battles, he says, “I’d like to celebrate music in a different way I really appreciate the platform but there’s other things that I did enjoy during the same time as when VERZUZ popped up.” He then went on to shout out Tory Lanez for Quarantine Radio.

The “Gimme the Light” artiste made mention of the fact that the Reggae Grammy Award is never done on the big stage and that this is something needs to be changed. SP also said he wants to see dancehall music given the accolades it deserves as so many other countries have emulated elements of the music while the genre or the country is hardly ever recognized.

During the interview, Jordon spoke about the upcoming celebration of Sean Paul’s song “Temperature,” which hit number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2006. SP also had other mega-hits like “Gimme The Light” that took his career to another level, spending 17 weeks in the Top 10. It became Sean’s first song to sell more than one million digital downloads. Paul said, “It was a whirlwind and to look back at it now and say, ‘Wow, 2006 ‘Temperature’ was the biggest song on the Billboard charts’, that’s amazing.”

Touching on his charity efforts, Sean Paul spoke about his work with Food For The Poor Jamaica. He provided various care packages and staple food items to the charitable organization. He spoke about the help the foundation was able to give organic local farmers. With this pandemic now affecting the entire world, he also had an initiative where some students were given tablets to assist needy students in order to continue their online classes. He also teamed up with FLOW to provide data for these children.

Dutty Paul also took a moment to explain the iconic dilemma surrounding his and Beyonce’s track “Baby Boy.” Sean first met Beyonce when she and the rest of Destiny’s Child visited Jamaica, and they performed for him. He was then contacted about four years after as they had wanted him to be featured on a track with the then solo artist Beyonce. Sean first recorded his track virtually but then flew to Miami soon after for the video. He expressed that all the talks about Jay-Z being jealous about him performing and interacting with Beyonce are false. He did note that he thought he would have been included in more scenes with Beyonce, and they would have been able to act things out a bit as the song was very hot and sexy. He maintained that he shared a strictly professional relationship with Beyonce and Jay-Z and did not even meet Jay until a year later at the Grammys.

Sean Paul is now getting ready to release his two new albums. The first, “Live N Living,” features 21 reggae and dancehall acts, including Buju Banton, Damian Marley, Govana, Intence, Mavado, Masicka, and Skillibeng. That album will be released on March 12 via Dutty Rock Productions. The second album, “Scorcher,” is slated to be released later in the year on Island Record. This album will feature international acts Gwen Stephani and Sia and for the female dancehall acts Shenseea and Jada Kingdom. UK-based deejay Stylo G will also be featured.

Jay-Z Sells 50 Percent Of His ‘Ace of Spades’ Brand To LVMH

Jay-Z’s champagne brand has gotten a big boost from luxury brand LVMH with the latter announcing its purchase of a 50% stake in the brand. Jay-Z’s champagne company Amand de Brignac but its trade name is ‘Ace of Spades,’ known for its vibrant metallic bottles.

The brand has been performing well, and according to statistics- before the pandemic, the luxury drink sold out more than 500,000 bottles in 2019. The new partnership will see Moet Hennessy being distributed globally. The French brand has several premium wines and spirits under its company name, which includes the likes of Dom Perignon Veuve Cliquot, Krug, and Chateau d’Yquem.

In 2014 Jay-Z bought into Armand de Brignac after the company tanked following disparaging and racist comments made by an executive towards rap consumers. The company was boycotted from 2006 until Jay-Z stepped in. the company’s wines and spirits are made by the Cattier family, who boasts a rich tradition of crafting the beverage for thirteen generations.

According to the New York Times, the deal has been in the making since 2019 between the son of the LVMH house brand- Alexandre Arnault. Jay-Z, speaking of his relationship with the younger French mogul, said, “I view him as a person of high integrity. Always keeps his word, very punctual. These are some of the qualities I have myself.”

Despite the pandemic, there is optimism about people continuing to buy luxury beverages in comparison to other commodities.

Last week Arnault’s company and Savage X Fenty, owned by Rihanna, announced a hold on their fashion house mainly because sales of clothing have dropped dramatically, largely due to the fact that with the restaurant industry shut down and with people not having anywhere to go, there’s no use buying in-season fashion to wear later.

However, champagne and other alcoholic beverages seem to continue to enjoy sales, particularly as can be seen at events such as Verzuz, the President’s swearing-in, and the many indoor house parties kept over the Super Bowl weekend.

In January last year, Beyonce and Jay-Z arrived at the 2020 Golden Globes with two bottles of Ace Of Spades in hand. The power couple later poured their own champagne during the awards ceremony sharing it with some friends seating close by.

nothing, nowhere. – love or chemistry Lyrics

Play this song

[Chorus]
I keep dancing with my demons
Give me one good reason I should stay
And I don’t trust what I’ve been feeling
Tell me is it love or chemistry?

[Verse 1]
I guess I do it for the thrill, adrenaline
Wanna make me feel alive
Your love is like a poison pill, venomous
I swallow it every night

[Pre-Chorus]
And I’ve been talking in my sleep
I know that this will be the end of me
Are we lovers or are we just enemies?
So is it love or is it chemistry?
(And is it love or is it chemistry?)

[Chorus]
I keep dancing with my demons
Give me onе good reason I should stay (Oh-oh, oh, oh)
And I don’t trust what I’ve been feeling
Tell mе is it love or chemistry?

[Verse 2]
Your eyes are like a .45, the bullet hits
I’m always getting hypnotized
I’ve been living in a lie, I’m good at it
Pretending that it’s all alright

[Pre-Chorus]
I’ve been grinding all my teeth
Tryna find a way from underneath
The weight of everything you said to me
So is it love or is it chemistry?
And is it love or is it chemistry?

[Chorus]
I keep dancing with my demons
Give me one good reason I should stay (I should stay)
And I don’t trust what I’ve been feeling
Tell me is it love or chemistry? (Oh-oh, yeah-yeah)

[Chorus: nothing,nowhere.]
I needed someone to blame, a reason, a something
I need a place for the pain, the grieving, the loving
Get me outside my brain, the pressure, the panic
‘Cause everyday’s the same, a repeat, can’t stand it

[Verse 1: nothing,nowhere.]
I’ve been so cold, live inside all the worry
It’s too late, I know, I can feel when it’s turning
You stay, I go, seems like I’m never learning
And mistakes, we go deeper into the furnace

[Pre-Chorus: nothing,nowhere.]
So tell me еverything, everything, еverything
That I ever, ever did, ever did, ever did
And I won’t lie, I’m tellin’ you, tellin’ you, tellin’ you the truth

Papoose – Daddy’s Home Lyrics

I really wanna be all up in your head (turn the lights on)
‘Cause what I got, you going to get some, yeah
But girl, that’s only if you ain’t scared

[Pre-Chorus: Usher]
And I won’t knock, won’t ring no bells
You just float that bottom up in the air
I’ll get you hot, I know you oh so well
And when I walk in, all that I wanna hear

[Chorus: Usher & Ladies]
Is you say, “Daddy’s home, home for me”
And I know you’ve been waiting for this loving all day
You know your daddy’s home and it’s time to play
So you ain’t got to give my loving away
So all my ladies, say, “Hey, hey, hey, daddy”
Hey, hey, hey, daddy
So all my ladies, say, “Hey, hey, hey, daddy”
Hey, hey, hey, daddy

[Verse 2: Papoose]
Pa-poose, Pa-poose
Knock knock, oh please!
Daddy nеver knock on the door he got kеys
When he pull his car in the driveway
The dog run to the door the kids start screaming
Mommy!
Daddy’s home
The king returns to his throne
If I was in a spelling bee
I would win just because of a 4 letter word
I know how to spell love
A civilized man who grow with his wings
Don’t give your body to a savage
Know when to give
If he put his kids 2nd
You know what it is
A real man never put a woman over his kids
That’s your man?
You don’t even know where he live
He tell you goodbye everytime you go to his crib
He say a woman’s place is the stove and the fridge
She don’t respect him
He a meal shoved in his pit

[Chorus: Usher]
Is you say, “Daddy’s home, oh, home for me”
And I know you’ve been waiting for this loving all day

Jason Mraz – Hello – Live from Spotify Sessions Lyrics

Play this song

[Verse 1]
Fall out of bed and catch a fading star
Fancy I woke up before my alarm
Brought my mind through my eyes
It’s the best I can do
Before it’s automatic, hand it over, turn it to you
Though her smile when it happened, almost as if it was magic
It means there’s a God somewhere and he’s laughing
And I shuffle my slipper less toes to the kitchen
Still low to the ground, but high on living

[Chorus]
And I know, I know, it’s gonna be a good day
Hello, hello, you beautiful thing

[Verse 2]
Waking up, I stretch my body and acknowledge some aches
Must be something I did yesterday
Pour a cup of liquid gold, because my engine’s still cold
But in a minute everything’s gonna change

[Chorus]
Cause I know, I know, it’s gonna be a good day
Hello, hello, you beautiful thing
Hello, hello, you beautiful thing

[Bridge]
And this is what I’ve been waiting for
(This is what I’ve been waiting for)
And this is what I’ve been waiting for
(This is what I’ve been waiting for)

[Instrumental]

[Verse 3]
Looking out from a cul de sac watching the band of the Earth take the plaque of the night from the dirt
I can see from the depths of my readjustment eyes of reflection of yes’s and that ever changing sky
But why do bad dreams linger long after I awake?
I don’t need no scenes of violence or pain replayed
And I feel quite foolish sometimes when I pray
But my thoughts are all I’ve got so I try to make em’ brave

[Chorus]
And I know, I know, it’s gonna be a good day
Hello, hello, you beautiful thing
Hello, hello, you beautiful thing
I say, hello, hello, you beautiful thing

Oh this is what I’ve been waiting for
(this is what I’ve been waiting for)
(this is what I’ve been waiting for)
(this is what I’ve been waiting for)
(Hello)

[Chorus]
And I know, I know, it’s gonna be a good day
Hello, hello, you beautiful thing

Jason Mraz – Long Drive – Live from Spotify Sessions Lyrics

Play this song

[Verse 1]
Long drive, long night
The best night of my life
With you riding, your hand on my hand
The thought of arriving, kind of feels like, dying
I don’t want, to go home and be, alone
Could we, stay out?
Could you…

[Chorus]
Drive a little slower, don’t matter where we’re going
As long as I’m with you, we could take the long way

[PreChorus]
Chevy Nova, front seat, sofa, getting closer, to you

[Chorus]
Drive a little slower; don’t matter where we’re going
As long as I’m with you, we can take the long way

Drive a little slower, not ready to go home
I’d rather stay with you

[Bridge]
Wе could take the long way out, to the country out of town
Lеt’s get lost; I don’t wanna be found
Let’s get away, now and be careful not to crash
There’s no defrost and we’re steaming the glass
You and the road have a generous shoulder
We can pull over and say we took the long way

[Verse 3]
Headlights, not strobe lights
I can see you, but not quite
I can feel you inside; the timing is just right
For the moment, I don’t want to go home
Take the long way, Take the long way
Whoah whoah whoah
Take the long way
Whoah whoah whoah

[Chorus]
Drive a little slower; don’t matter where we’re going
Take the long way

Drive a little slower; don’t matter where we going now
Take the long way

Drive a little slower; not ready to go home
I’d rather stay with you
We can take the long way

[Outro]
Long drive, long night
The best night of my life

TUSSE – Voices

(From Sweden’s Melodifestivalen 2021)

There’s fire in the rain
But we’ll get up again
We’re thousand miles apart
But we’ll overcome

I’ll never let you down
World is turning us around
But I feel it in my heart
Let’s make a brand new start

Can’t stop us now forget the haters
Get up and live and make it matter
There’s more to life so go ahead and
sing it out

Can you hear
a million voices
Calling out
in the rain
You know we got
a million choices
So go get out
and let it rain

A million voices voices
A million voices voices
A million voices voices
A million voices

There’s fire in the rain
And I can feel your pain
Painting all the scars in
The colours of change

Don’t let them hold you down
Don’t let them hold you down
Go shooting like a star
The star you are

Can’t stop us now forget the haters
Get up and live and make it matter
There’s more to life so go ahead and
sing it out

Can you hear
a million voices
Calling out
in the rain
You know we got
a million choices
So go get out
and let it rain

Can you hear them
A million voices voices
Can you hear them
A million voices voices
Can you hear them
A million voices voices
Can you hear them
A million voices

Can you hear them?
Can you hear them?

Can you hear
a million voices
Calling out
in the rain
You know we got
a million choices
So go get out
and let it rain

Can you hear them
A million voices voices
Can you hear them
A million voices voices
Can you hear them
A million voices voices
Can you hear them

Comedian Harmonists – Holzhackerlied Lyrics

Cg5 – The Bongo Cat Song Lyrics

When you’re feeling so very, very low
Keep breathing, there’s nothing wrong
You know I’m right here, just play with me
It all will be clear, I’ma tell you who I am now

I’m a cat, I play the bongo
Dance all, dance all night
I’m a cat, I play the bongo
Dance all, dance all night

When we purr and meow all day
It’s the bongo we must play
Here we go, here we go, here we go!

So do you feel the love
That I have for you
You know I love
Everything about you

Like the moonlight
That’s what I like about you
Eyes shine so bright
Don’t be sad
I’ll play the bongo with you!

Can you feel it?

Yeah, oh
Can you hear it?
Don’t be sad
Just play the bongo with me!

I’m a cat, I play the bongo
Dance all, dance all night
I’m a cat, I play the bongo
Dance all, dance all night

When we purr and meow all day
It’s the bongo we must play
Here we go, here we go, here we go!

I’m a cat, I play the bongo
Dance all, dance all night
I’m a cat, I play the bongo
Dance all, dance all night

When we purr and meow all day
It’s the bongo we must play
Here we go, here we go, here we go!

When we purr and meow all day
It’s the bongo we must play
Here we go, here we go, here we go!
