Markus Schultz – Are you with me

featuring Daimy Lotus

In silence we hide and try to read your mind,
Like islands divided, oh, give me a sign
I’ll walk the tide rope right into the storm,
Just to be near you, hoping you will come.

[Chorus:]
If I were to talk, would you hear me?
If I told you I was lost, would you help me?
Tell me are you with me?
Say that you are here
That you would do this for me
Going through the fear
And if I’d open up, would you hurt me?
Are you with me?
Aah ah aah
Are you? Ahh aah ah
Aah ah aah
Are you? Ahh aah ah

The blindfold it’s stronghold, tryina weight us down
The tide turns, our hearts burn, see me clearly now
I’ll walk the tide rope right into the storm,
Just to be near you, hoping you will come.

[Chorus:]
If I were to talk, would you hear me?
If I told you I was lost, would you help me?
Tell me are you with me?
Say that you are here
That you would do this for me
Going through the fear
And if I’d open up, would you hurt me?
Are you with me?
Aah ah aah
Are you? Ahh aah ah

Markus Schultz – Wait For You

featuring Christian Burns

All those cracks soaked up the rain
You’ve been to the other side, and back again.
Some day you gotta find me so worring the pages
Step into the color, out of the gray
I know this might take forever.

[Chorus:]
But I’ll still wait for you, every day, every night
Oh, I’ll still wait for you, every day, every night
and how I’ll pray for you every day, every night
Light the stars upon my home.

[Beat drops]

The long ride home, don’t stop till the end
Se well with the masterplan, just round this bed
Some day you’ll find me so worrying the chaos
Step out from the thunder into the sun
I know this could take forever.

[Chorus:]
But I’ll still wait for you, every day, every night
Oh, I’ll still wait for you, every day, every night
and how I’ll pray for you every day, every night
Light the stars upon my home.

[Beat drops]

[Chorus:]
But I’ll still wait for you, every day, every night
Oh, I’ll still wait for you, every day, every night
and how I’ll pray for you every day, every night
Light the stars upon my home.

JP Saxe, Maren Morris – Line by line

There are things that I sing that I’d never have the confidence to say
There are things I believe that I only figure out when I sit down to play
The truth don’t scare me in a melody, immortalizing my sincerity
There are things that I sing that I’d never have the confidence to say

Like that song about my parents that I’ll never show ’em
And the ones about my exes that they don’t deserve
When it comes to you, I’m still trying to find the words

[Chorus:]
Love too big for a love song
If I tried to sum it up I know I’d get it wrong
Sometimes if it don’t sound right
I apologize, I just said it ’cause it rhymed
Four chords, three minutes, you never fit in it
So I just take you line by line
Uh, uuh uuh
I’ll be writing about you for the rest of my life
Line by line by line by line
Line by line

There are things that I sing that I’ll never have the confidence to say
Like I’m still not convinced that I won’t be too much for you someday
Yeah, we both know the way it goes
Hear my fears all on the radio
There are things that I sing that I’ll never have the confidence to say

[Chorus:]
Love too big for a love song
If I tried to sum it up I know I’d get it wrong
Sometimes if it don’t sound right
I apologize, I just said it ’cause it rhymed
Four chords, three minutes, you never fit in it
So, I just take you line by line
Uh, uuh uuh
I’ll be writing about you for the rest of my life
Line by line by line by line
Line by line
I’ll be writing about you for the rest of my life
Line by line by line by line
Line by line
I’ll be writing about you for the rest of my life

I know it’s complicated having all your shit on display
I appreciate the way you make it work
When it comes to you-uuu,
I’m still tryina find the words

[Chorus:]
Love too big for a love song
If I tried to sum it up I know I’d get it wrong
Sometimes if it don’t sound right
I apologize, I just said it ’cause it rhymed
Four chords, three minutes, you never fit in it
So I just take you line by line
Uh, uuh uuh
I’ll be writing about you for the rest of my life
Line by line by line by line

Il Tre – Pioggia

“Pioggia” e il primo singolo tratto dal nuovo album di Il Tre Ali – per chi non ha un posto in questo mondo atteso per il 19 febbraio 2021. Il disco e il primo in studio il giovane rapper.

“Pioggia” Testo:

A volte non so comportarmi
Non vorrei mentire e tu
Piangi
Non posso nascondere i miei tagli
Non posso cancellare i miei sbagli
Non posso tornare indietro, no
Non ho la forza di andare avanti
Si ho confuso il mare come il cielo e
No no

E dopo ti ho persa, eh

Siamo come la pioggia, eh
Come un fuoco che scotta, eh
Una bomba che scoppia
Questa vita e bella ma costa
Voglio stare solo con te
Siamo come la notte, eh
Sotto un cielo di gocce, eh
Quando corri piu forte
Io non ho paura di niente
Tornero con le mani rotte
Stai con me

Siamo come la pioggia, eh
Come un fuoco che scotta, eh
Una bomba che scoppia
Questa vita e bella ma costa
Voglio stare solo con te
Siamo come la notte, eh
Sotto un cielo di gocce, eh
Quando corri piu forte
Io non ho paura di niente
Tornero con le mani rotte
Stai con me

Groovenics – Booty Barn Lyrics

You got that rump shaker
It’s definitely your heartbreaker
Break me off a piece of that ass
So I can hit it really fast
If you don’t want me to leave ya
Bend over and ill believe ya
You’ll be mine and ill be sure to bring you to my booty barn
The kingdom down south is the place with the mouth
All the hoochies in the house scream Miami
Give us this day our daily head
And I pray and I pray

Swing your booty round and round round and round round and round
Swing your booty round and round ass in the air face in the ground
Swing your booty round and round round and round round and round
Swing your booty round and round

Smoochie boochie you old hoochie coochie
Ride you in in the style of a poochie
As long as you got that mile wide booty Ill get fruity
If you turn mutt baby you won’t become my slut
You’ll be mine and ill be sure to bring you to my booty barn
The kingdom down south is the place with the mouth
All the bitches in the house scream Miami
Give us this day our daily head
And I pray and I pray

I am not a pimp
Can’t you see IM just a gimp
Living my small fairy tale
It would be nice
Not having to role the dice

Wish I could wear a vale
Being me will
Only make you want to kill
You’re own self-esteem
Put me in a place
Where IM not a big disgrace
Like the circus or my dreams

Swing your booty round and round round and round round and round
Swing your booty round and round ass in the air face in the ground
Swing your booty round and round round and round round and round
Swing your booty round and round

You got that rump shaker
It’s definitely your heartbreaker
Break me off a piece of that ice
So I can drink you like a slice
If you don’t want me to leave ya
Bend over and ill believe ya
You’ll be mine and ill be sure to bring you to my booty barn
The kingdom down south is the place with the mouth
All the hoochies in the house scream Miami
Give us this day our daily head
And I pray and I pray

I am not a pimp
Can’t you see IM just a gimp
Living my small fairy tale

Lil Wayne & Kodak Black Pardoned By President Trump In Last-Minute Spree

Lil Wayne and Kodak Black can breathe a sigh of relief today after Trump granted them clemency.

Outgoing President Donald Trump has pardoned over 150 persons and commutations, sources within the President’s administration has revealed in the early morning of his last day in office. Trump spends his final full day in office- January 19, 2021, finalizing his list of pardons, and it turns out that rappers Lil Wayne and Kodak Black made the list.

According to three CNN news sources, the batch of clemency actions includes white-collar criminals, high-profile rappers, and others but does not include the President, who has been reported as suggesting that he would seek to pardon himself and his children before leaving office. It seems that did not happen after his lawyers advised him against it.

“President Trump granted a full pardon to Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., also known as ‘Lil Wayne,’” White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany said in a statement to the press. “Mr. Carter pled guilty to possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon, owing to a conviction over 10 years ago. Brett Berish of Sovereign Brands, who supports a pardon for Mr. Carter, describes him as ‘trustworthy, kind-hearted and generous.’”

“Mr. Carter has exhibited this generosity through commitment to a variety of charities, including donations to research hospitals and a host of foodbanks. Deion Sanders, who also wrote in support of this pardon, calls Mr. Wayne ‘a provider for his family, a friend to many, a man of faith, a natural giver to the less fortunate, a waymaker, [and] a game changer.’”

Lil Wayne was a staunch Trump supporter and ally during his election campaign last year, so it comes as no surprise that he was pardoned by the outgoing President. The full list of names was released to the press at approximately 1 AM on the morning of the inauguration. Lil Wayne was facing a gun charge – possession of firearm during a 2019 search of his jet. The rapper’s jet was searched after landing at the Miami airport, where authorities found what Wayne said was a father’s day gift- a gold plated gun as well as marijuana in his bag.

Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump @potus besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done. ?? pic.twitter.com/Q9c5k1yMWf

— Lil Wayne WEEZY F (@LilTunechi) October 29, 2020

Weezy remains a controversial personality in hip hop and received heavy backlash, especially from the black community after meeting with Trump and declaring his support for the then President and encouraging African Americans- a key demographic in the contentious 2020 election, to vote for Trump.

Controversial Florida rapper Kodak Black, whose real name is Bill Kapri, was also pardoned after he took to his social media accounts to make an appeal to Trump for a pardon in exchange for donating millions of dollars to charity last year.

“Kodak Black is a prominent artist and community leader,” McEnany said in the statement. “He has served nearly half of his sentence. Before his conviction and after reaching success as a recording artist, Kodak Black became deeply involved in numerous philanthropic efforts. In fact, he has committed to supporting a variety of charitable efforts, such as providing educational resources to students and families of fallen law enforcement officers and the underprivileged. In addition to these efforts, he has paid for the notebooks of school children, provided funding and supplies to daycare centers, provided food for the hungry, and annually provides for underprivileged children during Christmas. Most recently while still incarcerated, Kodak Black donated $50,000 to David Portnoy’s Barstool Fund, which provides funds to small businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Kodak Black’s only request was that his donation go toward restaurants in his hometown.”

According to one source, the pardon does not come at zero cost as the President is expecting to collect later on his favor. “Everything is a transaction. He likes pardons because it is unilateral. And he likes doing favors for people he thinks will owe him.”

Among the people who received a pardon from Donald Trump include Death Row Records co-founder Michael “Harry O” Harrison, who got his sentence commuted after Snoop Dogg and his allies successfully lobbied the Trump administration.

Charli XCX – We Collide Lyrics

Play this song

[Verse 1]
I’ve never felt a love like this before
You touch my hand and I am seeing stars
And I’m so scared you’ll leave me all alone, no
‘Cause you’re the only one that ever feels like home
Oh oh

[Chorus]
We collide, like the lightning in the clouds
We collide, like the raindrops falling to the ground
If you cross your eyes, I’ll be there, be there, be there, baby
‘Cause when we collide, you save me, ah ooh

[Verse 2]
I feel your body breathing next to me
It’s like a tidal wave, it’s crashing down on me
I want to understand the words you say
‘Cause you’re the only one that will take me
You can take me back there now

[Chorus]
We collide, like the lightning in the clouds
We collide, like the raindrops falling to the ground
If you cross your eyes, I’ll be there, be there, be there, baby
‘Cause when we collide, you save me, ah ooh
We collide, like the lightning in the clouds
We collide, like the raindrops falling to the ground
If you cross your eyes, I’ll be there, be there, be there, baby
‘Cause when we collide, you save me, ah ooh

[Outro]
We will collide, our hearts alive
Love never dies, love never dies
We will collide, our hearts alive
Love never dies, love never dies
We will collide, our hearts alive
Love never dies, love never dies
We will collide, our hearts alive
Love never dies, love never dies
We will collide

jxdn – drivers license Lyrics

Play this song

[Verse 1]
I got my driver’s license last week
Just like we always talked about
‘Cause you were so excited for me
To finally drive up to your house
But today I drove through the suburbs
Crying ’cause you weren’t around

[Verse 2]
And you’re probably with that blonde girl
Who always made me doubt
She’s so much older than me
She’s everything I’m insecure about
Yeah, today I drove through the suburbs
‘Cause how could I ever love someone else?

[Chorus]
And I know we weren’t perfect
But I’ve never felt this way for no one
And I just can’t imagine
How you could be so okay now that I’m gone
Guess you didn’t mean what you wrote in that song about me
‘Cause you said forever, now I drive alone past your street

[Verse 3]
And all my friends are tired
Of hearing how much I miss you, but
I kinda feel sorry for them
‘Cause they’ll never know you the way that I do, yeah
Today I drove through the suburbs
And pictured I was driving home to you

[Chorus]
And I know we weren’t perfect
But I’ve never felt this way for no one, oh
And I just can’t imagine
How you could be so okay now that I’m gone
I guess you didn’t mean what you wrote in that song about me
‘Cause you said forever, now I drive alone past your street

[Bridge]
Red lights, stop signs
I still see your face in the white cars, front yards
Can’t drive past the places we used to go to
‘Cause I still fuckin’ love you, babe (Ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh)
Sidewalks we crossed
I still hear your voice in the traffic, we’re laughing
Over all the noise
God, I’m so blue, know we’re through
I still fuckin’ love you, babe (Ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh)

[Chorus]
I know we weren’t perfect
But I’ve never felt this way for no one
And I just can’t imagine
How you could be so okay now that I’m gone
Guess you didn’t mean what you wrote in that song about me
‘Cause you said forever, now I drive alone past your street

[Outro]
Yeah, you said forever, now I drive alone past your street

Vybz Kartel’s “Dancehall Royalty” EP Debuts On US Current Reggae Albums Chart

Vybz Kartel scores a top ten debut on the US Reggae Album Chart with his new project, Dancehall Royalty.

It seems nothing can keep the Worl’Boss down. Even from behind bars, the veteran dancehall artiste continues to dominate the genre. His latest work, Dancehall Royalty, which features a five-song set that was released on January 8, has debuted at number two on the sales-driven US Current Reggae Albums chart.

Vybz Kartel’s latest work, which features his son Likkle Vybz, Renee 630, and Sikka Rymes, also entered the streaming-driven Billboard Reggae Albums chart at number 36. The US Current Reggae Albums chart is used to assess the top-selling albums based on data from Nielsen Music/MRC Data. According to the current ranking on the chart, Stick Figure’s World on Fire is the top album.

According to the chart, Dancehall Royalty sold 161 copies in its opening week. This is another chart that Vybz Kartel’s music does well on, as this is his second album to make it. In July 2020, his album Of Of Dons and Divas earned the top place on the charts. He was hoping for a Grammy nomination for that one.

Other notable movements on the chart include Higher Place by Skip Marley, which moved down to the number three position, while Afrikan Blood the album released by various reggae artistes moved up three places to number four on the chart. Buju Banton’s Upside Down 2020 was removed from number three to number five, and another various artistes collaboration, When Jah Shall Come, released by London-based Pressure Sounds Records, claimed the sixth spot.

Coastin by Iration is at number seven while Tropical House Cruises to Jamaica: Reggae Collector’s Edition is at eight. While in the other notable chart, the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, Bob Marley and the Wailers record an impressive 54th week in the number one spot with Legend. Shaggy’s Boombastic Collection: The Best of Shaggy by Shaggy comes in second while World on Fire by Stick Figure claimed the third spot.

Snoop Dogg Commends Trump For Pardoning His Pal Harry O Founder Of Death Row Records

Snoop Dogg is commending the Trump administration for pardoning Harry O.

While President Trump is on his way out of office, he is getting praises from veteran rapper Snoop Dogg for one of his last acts as POTUS. According to reports, the White House granted clemency to former Death Row executive Michael “Harry O” Harris, who has been serving a prison sentence for cocaine trafficking, murder, and more since the late ’80s. Snoop has reportedly been quietly lobbying the White House to grant the pardon on behalf of his friend for some time, and his efforts were not futile as Trump evidently made it happen before he took his leave.

During a discussion with other prison reform advocates on Zoom, Snoop spoke briefly about “the great work” the president and his team did in aiding Harry O’s release. Advocates Alice Johnson and Weldon Angelos, who were previously granted clemency in their cases as well joined Snoop for the chat. Johnson relayed that she received a call from the White House confirming that Harry O was granted the pardon. “God is good!” Snoop rejoiced.

The rapper went on to salute the outgoing president’s efforts saying, “That’s great work for the president and his team on the way out.” He continued, “They did some great work while they was in there and they did some great work on their way out. Let them know that I love what they did.” Though a previous critic of Trump and his administration, Snoop believes that God was working through the soon-to-be-former president in this case. “It is amazing what the work of God can actually bring to life to make people understand that there is a God,” the rapper added.

Michael “Harry O” Harris is a co-founder of Death Row Records who invested a large sum in the outfit soon after Suge Knight formed it with Dr. Dre and D.O.C. With his $1.5 million investment, Harry O became a silent partner of Death Row. He was arrested in 1988 and was convicted of murder, attempted kidnapping, and cocaine trafficking. Harris was originally slated to be released from prison in 2028. This pardon means his conviction will be overturned, and he will be released seven years sooner than initially ordered.

Olivia Rodrigo Wants To Use Her ‘Drivers License’ To Bring Cardi B To McDonald’s

Olivia Rodrigo has offered to use her own driver’s license to help Cardi B out with her late-night cravings for McDonald’s.

As far as we know, Cardi B isn’t expecting a sibling for Kulture, but The Bronx rapper still wanted some McDonald’s at 4 AM. The problem is, Cardi had no way to get to McD’s drive-through as she doesn’t, well, drive. The 28-year-old grew up in New York City, where most residents rely on the subway and do not have their own, so it is not too bizarre that she does not have a driver’s license to her name. Of course, the problem arises when those cravings for cheeseburgers and fries haunt you in the early hours of the morning.

“Just like that girl wrote a song about getting her drivers license Imma write a song about the struggle of not having a drivers license,” the “WAP” rapper tweeted in reference to Olivia Rodrigo’s debut single, “Drivers Licence.” “I really wanted my McDonald’s at 4 AM last night instead of today but I couldn’t so I felt asleep hungry.” On the track, the former Disney star sings about driving aimlessly after finally getting her license as she has broken up with the person who encouraged her to get it, but her next journey has clear direction as she offered to help Cardi out by being her personal chauffeur.

“Girl i will pick u up and take u wherever u wanna go,” Olivia replied to the Grammy Award winner. Cardi didn’t have to think twice about the proposal: “Yaaayyy !!! Let’s go to McDonald’s and get happy meals !”

Hopefully, for Olivia, Cardi will let her do all the driving as she almost caused an accident when James Cordon let her get behind the wheel for a driving lesson during Carpool Karaoke.

Doja Cat Vents About Gaslighting Comments On TikTok: “I’m Not Comfortable”

Doja Cat is tapping out of TikTok because of gaslighting.

The social media platform has played a big role in the Californian artist’s rise to fame as it is there where her No. 1 single “Say So” first gained popularity at the beginning of last year. A choreographer with over 1.3 million followers created a dance to the track, which went viral, and soon the song was one of the biggest hits on the app. Since then, Doja Cat has continued to engage with users on the platform, but she now says that she is done.

According to the 25-year-old, she has been unintentionally gaslit by those leaving comments on her posts, which has made her uncomfortable. “I’m not comfortable making tik toks anymore i feel like something is wrong w me. y’all got me,” she tweeted in the first of a series of vulnerable posts. “I’ve actually struggled w s*** before and i have a lot of fear in me so it just adds up in the end when i read that kind of s***.”

i’m not comfortable making tik toks anymore i feel like something is wrong w me. y’all got me. :/

— loved era (@DojaCat) January 19, 2021

The “Best Friend” rapper didn’t elaborate on exactly which comments had rattled her, but it appears to be related to being mocked. Her tweets came after posting videos in which she impersonated Tyga, Megan Thee Stallion, and Connor McGregor with the aid of a filter that prompted users to ask if she was alright.

Doja Cat has often used her TikTok account to post humorous, self-deprecating videos and says that while it is fine for her followers to laugh at those, she would rather they didn’t afford the same reaction to her other posts.

they’re not even being hateful they’re just unintentionally gaslighting and i’m deadass not fit to just take the joke cuz i’ve actually struggled w shit before and i have a lot of fear in me so it just adds up in the end when i read that kind of shit. https://t.co/TuMYsFOmdD

— loved era (@DojaCat) January 19, 2021

i get that but it’s fucking depressing to accept that shit. https://t.co/tUaf6zvHJz

— loved era (@DojaCat) January 19, 2021

Kranium Says Fans Are To Be Blamed For Beefs In Dancehall

Kranium is weighing in on some ongoing beefs in dancehall amid Spice and Shenseea falling out.

Dancehall has a rich history of clashes that have entertained fans for decades. Many have debated whether or not the clash culture is actually good for the genre or if it holds it back. One artiste, Kranium, has weighed in on the issue, and his take is a bit different.

Kranium believes that dancehall fans are the ones to be blamed for creating the rivalry between deejays. He said when fans spur on deejays, their egos get involved, and this causes the rifts that sometimes last for long periods of time. He tweeted, “90% beef in this industry is created by fans but most artist Mek them ego dash gas on it … that’s why me take the good with the bad . Until a man tek it pass music .. be human yes but be a sensible one !”

In a recent interview on The Fix Podcast, Kranium also shared his feelings about the state of dancehall. The “Nobody Has to Know” singer said even though other genres had popped up like afrobeats and gained a lot of attention, dancehall had defined its space and also had its time as the popular music.

“I don’t think there need to be a comparison between dancehall and afrobeats and the reason why me always say this is because when dancehall had their golden era in the 90s to 2005. We had Sean Paul, we had Shaggy, we had Beenie Man, we had Brick and Lace, we had Elephant Man, we had Wayne Wonder for example. I could call seven artistes whose doing great on the mainstream market,” he said.

He also said that he believed dancehall artistes have been doing well as they try to keep the genre alive.

“Me just love the fact that dancehall is a young fan-based driven music and it ah very fast music and right now it’s been a while me can identify 10 different artistes. I can call 10 different artistes that I think have the potential to be big,” He continued on to say that “dancehall is in a great space of creativity and me love it.”

Do you think it’s fans who cause dancehall artistes to clash?

Intruders – Sad Girl Lyrics

Sad girl, you look so sad
Did he break your heart?
Gee, that’s too bad
I guess now you see, oh
How love could be

Sad girl, forget that guy
Come on, let’s smile now
Please won’t you try?
Get a hold of yourself
Come on and find you someone else

Open up your, open up your heart, girl
Open up, we can make a brand new start
Open up, please don’t cry
Just go out and find yourself another guy

Sad girl
Hold your head up high
Things are gonna change, I know
As time goes by

Because that’s the way it goes
Everybody knows
Somebody’s somebody’s fool
(Sad girl)
And you’re no exception to the rule
(Sad girl)

Your day’s gonna come, my love
(Sad girl)
All you gotta do is keep on smiling
(Sad girl)

Colton Ford – It’s No Crime Lyrics

I never thought that
I could feel this way
You came around and
Brought about a change in me

I was a typical guy
You came along and blew my mind
You were runnin’ fast
I was runnin’ slow
Everybody said that it would not work
Love came and set me free
You were standing there to rescue me
Love caught it, we thought
Why can’t we be in love, well

Why, it’s no crime
If I’m guilty of love
Let me do my time
Why, it’s no crime
Everybody needs love
And baby (so do I)

You never thought love
Came so easily
No doubt about it
Never in your dreams, no way

I was a typical guy
You came along and blew my mind

I walk slow
You walk fast
Everybody said that it could not last
Love came inside of me
Never knew how good our love could be
Love caught it, we thought
Why can’t we be in love, well

[HOOK]

I’ve spent half a lifetime
Waiting for someone
You say I know it was you
They don’t recommend it
I don’t understand it
I’ve been reprimanded
‘Cause I’m in love with you

Why, it’s no crime
If I’m guilty of love
Let me do my time
Why, it’s no crime
Everybody needs love
And baby (so do I)

So do I, so do I
So do I, so do I
Oh so do I

Why

Steel Prophet – Tragic Flaws Lyrics

How many times I’ve climbed the mountain, to look down on me
From this point I almost can see, the things that make me crumble down, run my world into the ground

Chorus
The story always ends, with the stinging of eyes, defeat round the bend
It seems the tragic flaw, has conquered again, brought it’s painful end

This time I ride out, proud to behold we take the queen, the enemy lies cold
But I gaze into the crystal ball; my folly’s brought ruin to us all. Again!

Solo – SK

Crime In Stereo – Small Skeletal Lyrics

As they laid
my bones down at the crossroads, I saw my ghost
sell my soul to the inferno for petrol to get home.
Now each day
I sink a bit faster into my father’s fate.
Four packs a day. Four decades straight.
Right to an unmarked grave.

I used to think it would sleep [x3]

As I laid
My cross down at the bones beneath my feet
She came. The face of a saint. The voice of a sympathy.

She says “The future will be devoid of weaknesses.”
Free cigarettes for all the kids to make small skeletons.

I used to think it would sleep [x3]

I used to think as I aged with time that it would shut it’s eyes and just let me be.
Then I’d seen it’s designs to kill and hide deceitfully inside my skin.

I’ve been hunting it ever since.

Beastie Boys – Beastie Boys Lyrics

Aaahhn B-E-A-S-T-I-E go
B-E-A-S-T-I-E
That’s just what Beasties gotta’ be
Can’t you see this is an emergency
Can you feel the urgency
B-E-A-S-T-I-E
B-E-A-S-T-I-E
With the hold of democracy
In a state of emergency now

Ahhnn going out to rock the state
Let’s just come and take unique
All across the stormy sea
Better days in democracy
B-E-A-S-T-I-E

B-E-A-S-T-I-E
Captain stayed off so merryly
In a state of emergency now

Aaahhn B-E-A-S-T-I-E
Cops just don’t have respect to me
World is filled with tyranny
All across the stormy sea
B-E-A-S-T-I-E
B-E-A-S-T-I-E
Who the hell are we off to see
Let’s just come and take unique
Now B-E-A-S-T-I-E go
B-E-A-S-T-I-E go

Drake Announced “Certified Lover Boy” Has Been Delayed But Still Coming 2021

Drake’s new album Certified Lover Boy is not coming this month.

Drake fans have been eagerly awaiting his next body of work. They at least know that the name of the album is Certified Lover Boy and that it was supposed to be released this month, but now we know that’s not happening. Fans have continued to scour the internet, looking for any clues about what the album might sound like with very little success.

Drake has now released his first official statement on the project this year, and it is to announce a delay. While he didn’t give an official release date, he did say that it is coming in 2021. His statement comes a day after Charlie Puth sent the internet into a frenzy by suggesting that the album is coming this weekend. In a now-deleted tweet, Puth said, “Drakes dropping on the 21st.”

Drake put those speculations to bed when he wrote a message on his Instagram Story on Wednesday. “I was planning to release my album this month but between surgery and rehab, my energy has been dedicated to recovery,” he wrote. “I’m blessed to be back on my feet, feeling great and focused on the album, but CLB won’t be dropping in January.”

“I’m looking forward to sharing it with you all in 2021,” Drake added as he concluded his statement.

Most experts on the matter have opined that the album would be released in the last week of the month, including Drake’s producer Cardo. Drake continues his upward trajectory and recently scored another accolade when he became the first artist to ever hit 50 billion streams on Spotify. He’s also been seen within recent times, with Meek Mill and Lil Baby in the Bahamas reportedly filming something. The OVO boss has also been marketing the album in a big way. He even paid to have CLB hearts displayed across the CN Tower in his hometown of Toronto.

The last set of rumors about the album proved to be false. That came from Odell Beckham Jr., who said that the album would be released on January 1, 2020, during an interview: He said, “Lover Boy dropping 2021. Drizzy, I got you, man. Dropping January 1, 2021. When the ball drop, the album drop.”

Drake eventually dismissed the rumor after reaching out to DJ Akademiks, who in turn shared the news with fans by stating, “Drake reached out to me and confirmed that despite what Odell Beckham Jr said … January 1st, 2021 is not the release date of Certified Lover Boy. He’ll announce the correct date when the time comes.”

Drake also uploaded a photo to his Instagram story that shows him behind the mixing boards concentrating as if he’s putting down the final touches.

Bobby Shmurda Fans React On Twitter To Trump Not Giving Him A Pardon

Bobby Shmurda is trending amid his name, failing to make the grand clemency list from the White House.

As his last act in office, Trump opted to grant pardons to a list of 140 people, including some rappers who have either been serving a prison sentence or were about to. While some people who have chimed in on the historical event now firmly believe that they have deduced how Lil Wayne was rewarded for advocating for Trump before the presidential election, they cannot fathom why Bobby Shmurda was not considered for the ultimate get out of jail free card.

The GSL rapper has been serving a 7-year prison sentence for drug and gun-related charges and is slated to be released on February 23. For his fans, Shmurda cannot be released too soon, and they had strong hopes for the rapper to join the other pardoned artists like Kodak Black, Steve Bannon, and more get an early release of a full pardon to avoid serving time in prison.

As Twitter reacts to Bobby Shmurda’s absence from the extensive list, fans can’t help but question why he didn’t make the cut. Clemency was also not granted to Suge Knight, C-Murder, Tay-K, YNW Melly, and others. As for Bobby, he was denied parole just last year, while his associate and fellow GSL rapper Rowdy Rebel was approved and consequently released in 2020. At the top of the year, amid the parole board rejecting the early release request, it was revealed that Bobby Shmurda would b granted a conditional release in February.

The hilarious Twitter threads surrounding the rapper seemingly getting snubbed is replete with memes depicting a bemused, disheartened, and even an irate Bobby Shmurda. One fan angrily wrote, “I really dgaf about trump pardoning wayne or kodak….who gives af where is bobby shmurda.” Thankfully, the rapper will be out soon regardless.

Better Luck Next Time – Doin’ Time Lyrics

Well I know the world’s turning over again
And I’ll be there while everyone is out getting bent over this,
and of that; I can’t believe that we still can’t begin to control what we have
And I know that this is quite the sorriest state
We all feel it, we’re coming out ‘cause we can relate
Turn it up, play it loud, don’t end the song
‘till we’re all involved is what it’s all about

So come on and sing it just as loud as you can
And I bet it starts to heal with every chant of the hand
Come on and give it everything that you have
‘Cause it’s yours and it’s mine, we’re all just here doin’ time

Well I know that we’ll come together again

And it takes no more than one of us to start up the trend
And I think we’re getting closer every step of the way;
I’ve fallen hard on it today
And I know it seems like we’re growing apart
But then again you could think of it as being a start
to what we cannot have so turn the lights off,
I’m outa’ here in time to catch the band

No I’m not giving up
I need you more than you could ever see so come with me my own worst enemy
Believe me when I say I’ve got a lot to learn
and I promise you I’ll take back everything that you have heard;
it all seems so absurd
